You know that buu saga filler where Not!Piccolo and Goku go to hell and kick Freeza and Cell's ass could be extra funny abridged with Resurrection of F knowledge and gags.

There are specific things I don't like about the Buu Saga (for example, imo most issues present in GT are also present in the Buu Saga, but in the Buu Saga they're not so badly done such that they are as significantly negative), but overall I think it's pretty great.

I love Buu as an antagonist, and liked the idea of giving the enemy a bunch of unique and off-the-wall abilities in addition to the tried and true ones. And while there are a lot of false starts when it comes to the heroes I like the development we get in the meantime (even if for some characters a great deal of that development only happens in the anime).

The Buu Saga is my favorite.

And I kinda want Gohan to play Undertale.

Partly just because of the bowl cut.

I believe it's Saiga's as well.

It used to be. Now it's second to the Saiyan arc.

I like the first half of the arc more than anything else, I just thing it went downhill with the introduction of potara and doesn't recover. If it weren't for that it would be my favorite, because anything before that I like more the Saiyan arc.

For me the Boo arc has a lot of things to like out of it, and a lot of things to dislike. The Saiyan arc is also awesome, but just more consistent throughout.

What has Kaiser said on the Boo arc? The idea that he hates it does make me worry. It does get a pretty bad rap by a lot of fans so I can see them being rather unfair to it.

edit: I mean, Return of Cooler didn't get ripped on much, but Episode of Bardock had some lines that just seemed spiteful to me. And I hate Episode of Bardock.

Well, give them time, they are improving every year, and Episode of Bardock is from 3 years ago...

Speaking of which, DBZA has officially ran longer than the original series now.

DBZ: April 26, 1989 — January 31, 1996 (2472 days)

DBZA: May 8, 2008 — Present (2750 days and counting)

Let that sink in.

Spiteful it may be, but I still find It hilarious that figuring out the plot made Bardock so angry that he went Super Saiyan.

I've never seen him outright bash it. I do know that he mentioned that the Super Buu portions felt like a retread of Cell.

I really disliked Buu because I thought his power was just... cheesy. Honestly, it bugged me that they decided that the best way to up the villains isn't necessarily to make them stronger, but make them harder to kill. Freiza survives getting bisected! Wow, he's tough to kill. Cell comes back From a Single Cell! Wow, he's tougher to kill! Buu's regeneration makes Cell's look like nothing... it just struck me as sort of cheap.

They made them stronger too...being harder to kill was actually the better solution.

He also thinks Fat Buu is a total joke (which is the entire point of Fat Buu — that's part of the Mood Whiplash that makes him who he is), refers to the saga as a "mountain" to overcome in the Episode 50 breakdown...

Unpopular opinion here, but Buu's probably my favorite of the DBZ antagonists, and the saga itself is my second-favorite in the series (with the first favorite being the King Piccolo arc).

I didn't like the arc during its action, especially disliking everything about the two kids and the concept of fusion, but now I like the arc... except for the two kids, and the execution of fusion.

Having rewatched Kai, I can say that the Freeza saga is my favorite.

I like Fat Buu because he's basically a more jackass Kirby, and I like Super Buu once he's fused with Gotenks, Piccolo, and Gohan because he's got a higher vocabulary but is still clearly a childish monster. Standard Super Buu and Kid Buu both feeling boring to me because they're both just mindless killing machines, though Super Buu at least has some base "I just wanna eat everything" shit driving him.

I wonder if Xenoverse will be referenced at all in the future, what with Cell's delightfully hammy lines, the concept of the Majin racenote , and Towa being Dabura's sister. Oh, and Custom Male Voice 8.

I've been playing Dragonball Z Extreme Butoden, (the sprites are gorgeous by the way) and at one point Vegeta says Kaio-what? I'm not sure if this is a deliberate Team Four Star reference or not, but either way, it is pretty funny.

...Has Vegeta even been to an auction?

He watches Space Hulu enough to be kind of a nerd, given his wide range of nostalgic reference material. That type of gag comes up in comedy shows a lot.

I'm picturing Vegeta discovering, like, classic Power Rangers or something and being super-excited at this brand new, awesome thing he's found while Bulma just stands next to the couch and facepalms.

Having rewatched Kai, I can say that the Freeza saga is my favorite.

Agreed, but replace "rewatched Kai" with "read the manga."

Considering that Xenoverse is now apparently the backstory of Popo, it's probably going to come up during the part where Popo is supposed to get killed by Buu. Suffice to say that Buu is not in Popo/Dumplin's league.

I'm sure they're just going to write Popo out of the arc a different way.

So... in Super 13 Abridged... That whole "Jet fuel can't melt steel beams" "No, but we can" and then Goku calling 14 and 15 terrorists...
