Isn't a short, female Earthling the best character in the game?
Oh, for some arcane reason, your character's height affects their stats.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Are they fun to play as though? I want to have fun while playing as my Time Patroller. I know they're Fragile Speedsters according to the character page for Xenoverse, but that's all I know.
Play as a Namekian and put literally all of your points into Health.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! All classes play the same. The only real differences are movement speeds on land and air, and race-restricted things like Ki-Regen for Earthlings and Super Saiyan transformations for the Saiyans.
Freezas have a unique ki blast that stuns an enemy for 2 seconds but you have to good enough to hit people with it, but that's it.
I am so glad I asked here, this has been a huge help. I'm thinking Freeza's Race is what my Time Patroller will be at this point.
Hearing that TFS was doing this made me realise FF 7 is a lot like DBZ, in that the original translation was pretty awful and probably changed a whole lot.
I wonder if they're going to address that. I hope they do.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I have a confession to make. I've never played FFVII, nor have I played any FF game made afterwards. I have however played almost all of the first six FF games. I'm kind of looking forward to the new remake, as that will probably be how I experience FFVII for the first time. The thing that really bugs me about the Final Fantasy series is that, games I through V were in a fantasy setting, with castles and kingdoms and empires and stuff. VI was also the same, but did have mechs, but the mechs were powered by magic, so it was still kind of old-fashiony. Starting with VII however they changed the setting to a futuristic sci-fi setting, and I think most of the games since have been more sci-fi than fantasy. To me that was just, I don't know, it felt like they were being unfaithful to what Final Fantasy was.
Does anyone know if the song used for the opening for the two TV specials has a name?
VII is overrated. Play X. X also isn't futuristic, for story reasons.
Or play Shining Force or Fire Emblem.
VII is a good game, try to look past the absence of man-eating unicorns and castles and the Hype Backlash, it's still a fantasy world and a solid game.
Well, who knows what the remake will be like, but I'd still recommend downloading the original somewhere. I try to gain an appreciation for the original before I go and play the shiny remake. The remake could be a pile of crap that biases you against VII altogether.

Final Fantasy IX is like the first six games. I recommend it and VIII for the PS 1 era games to play.

FFVII is a good game but I'm going to commit an act of heresy that can potentially start a flame way by saying that I think FFVIII is better.

Because Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 aren't about raw power. They give a small boost to all stats, yeah... but it's pretty small. The real bonus to them is that your Supers and Ultimates don't cost ki while you're using them, which does make them effective spammers. But the forms also have pretty big drawbacks (ki drain, plus loss of stamina once you drop the form - effectively a guard break).
Also, the stat spread of Saiyans was made pretty bad to make up for their ability to use transformations. It went a little too far.
Humans meanwhile have very good base stats and passive ki regeneration, which is extremely useful. Also all races have access to Kaio-ken, which provides bigger stat bonuses than Super Saiyan 1 or 2 at the cost of draining stamina - but it's easy to offset that with moves that use ki to recover stamina, and since humans regenerate their ki quickly they can maintain Kaio-ken easier than most races.
Then the 3rd DLC pack added a transformation that is just plain better than Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 - Unlock Potential. It lacks the free Supers and Ultimates, but has a better stat boost (again) and drains less ki - while also not deactivating the human racial ki regeneration, which actually regenerates FASTER than Unlock Potential drains ki. It's possible to maintain the transformation indefinitely.
