The point being misrepresented, when presented coherently, is:
"Hey, maybe you guys could fill us in on why the episodes are taking so long, especially when we're paying you to do this now? Or provide some content?"
I don't approve of disregarding that point (or any point, really) just because the person presenting it was a dick, a monumental one in fact.
I guarantee if they put up a time table (and it's not at all unreasonable to expect this since they're getting 12K a month) giving an exact date for when the episode would be up that people wouldn't complain. Instead they have that godawful "X% thing" on their site.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Health issues, real lives, tons of content being made that doesn't have to be abridged episodes, money does not go to the abridged series itself.
Then why are you ignoring the points that were stated to prove how wrong he was?
Because the exact second an episode isn't posted at a specific time stamp, they'll be flooded with entitled pricks like that one on the last page?
And, I repeat, until recently the episodes were monthly, and outside of said episode,s they do plenty of videos.
I thought unnoun was pretending to be Derrick, the Insufferable Genius in the Let's Play comment section. note
The legend has returned. There's every reason to get riled up and you fucking know it!
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Lol, spite.
No, if I can be mature enough to understand someone else's POV and not get riled up about it to the point of telling someone to stfu (that's pretty much what 'how dare you' means), I at least expect the same from others posting. Contrary opinions are scary, but without them we're just a bunch of homogenized thought zombies.
I really should start reporting offending posts instead of ignoring the tone of the poster in an effort to continue discussion.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."And I don't think any of the reasons listed hold up to scrutiny except:
Everything else doesn't fly as an excuse the minute they asked for donations.
The whole point of the money was to give them time to work on projects. Saying "real lives" is like saying "Hey, boss, I'm not showing up to work today because my life got in the way. Oops."
"Entitlement" doesn't factor in here. Again, money. It's not entitlement, it's expecting the product people are essentially paying for.
If any professional company sets a date, you usually can expect that date to be met. Would all those people that "pre-order" Resurrection F tickets be "entitled" if Funimation screws up the theater release dates?
Cool, I get that TFS is a fun group, but they have to be held to a standard now that they're getting paid to do this.
12,000. How much is Death Battle getting off patreon? 0 dollars, you say? Do they meet deadlines? They sure do.
I could go on, but I feel the point has been sufficiently made.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."You do know that donations are optional things that no one has to actually do, right? Asking for them doesn't invalidate anything.
Now, if TFS had a habit of spending about three years per episode, then you would have a point. But they don't. They get episodes out pretty damn fast, considering all they things they do.
Submitting a donation doesn't spawn a new episode the second it's made. They'll still need to set things up. And, again, the donations have fuck all to do with the abridged series.
Also, preeeeeeeeeeeetty sure they have actual jobs. That would fall under the 'real life' thing.
Good for Death Battle, then. I guess being a part of Screw Attack has absolutely nothing to do with anything there.
I don't know how to make the point clearer without just infinitely repeating it, so I'll just point you to my previous post and end here.
This is a hot topic for me since I hate, hate, this notion that people giving money aren't allowed to complain about a product and that they should just take what they can get.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."The thing is that DBZA isn't a product patrons are paying for. The Patreon campaign is quite explicit about that. You are under the mistaken impression that Team Four Star is asking for donates so they can produce DBZA but, in truth, what they are asking is for donation so they can improve Team Four Stars. Sure, the quality of DBZA will improve as a result, but, theoretically, its schedule is completely unaffected.

It's ridiculous to believe that consumers are paying for let's plays and Final Fantasy instead of what the group is most known for. It's great that they're trying to spread their wings and all, but it isn't unreasonable to think that people expect more DBZA. It doesn't matter if it isn't a kickstarter or whatever: the fact is as long as they keep that patreon up, people will rightfully ask for episodes and expect a consistent schedule.
Now if they took that patreon down, which they really shouldn't, but if they did it, everyone bothering them for new episodes should sod off.
At the very least they could put up a timetable. And the major schedule slip ups seem to be on Kaiser not wanting anyone else to edit the show together but him, and as any creator knows, sometimes you have to step aside and let other people contribute instead of trying to micromanage everything.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."

Yeah Cru, I'm not sure what point you thought was being misinterpreted. They already seemed like the types to work as fast as possible anyway. I don't see how that they now apparently get money, which they also apparently can't use for the series anyway, is supposed to suddenly make them start working faster than they are able.
