Pretty much. There's a lot of things going through people's heads when they're fighting. Vegeta, for instance, always has something to prove. He's caught up in his ego to the point that it's not enough to win, he wants to look cool doing it.
Despite thoroughly dominating the fight, Frieza was too busy sadistically savoring the beatdown on Namek to do what he should have done from the beginning and effortlessly blow everyone away with his superior strength; we see exactly how easy it all could have been when he returns, pissed off from the Genki-Dama, and is beyond enjoying this anymore.
But all Goku's thinking about is the fight. The next move, the next blow. What he's going to do and what his opponent is going to do. He fights just to fight, not to prove how awesome he is or humiliate a foe or impress people watching. He's just here to be here, doing this for the purpose of doing this.
Frieza sandbags because he wants to watch the hope trickle out of your eyes as you realize how limitless his power is. Goku does it because he's gauging your strength and getting an impression of your fighting style before kicking into high gear.

I hope so.
I want to see Vegeta's reaction to the final boss.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I actually am nettled at times to see all the support for Final Fantasy VII, while I haven't played it but Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games of all time.
I never understood VII's popularity. I played up to Disc 3 and it's pretty damn good but I don't understand all the praise it gets. From the Final Fantasy series alone, I prefer V and VIII to it. However, I will say that it is one of the best turn-based JRPGs that lacks any major gimmick (so games like the Mairo RPG series [either one] are out).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It was groundbreaking in a lot of ways. The setting was new, the twist with Cloud was new, the FMVs were new. Hell, even the materia system was pretty original at the time
As far as continued appeal, the style of it remains pretty great, and most attempts to copy the thing with Cloud completely miss the point
Like I said, it's a great game and I can see why a lot of people love it but I don't understand the continued fuss. Of course, I don't understand the continued fuss over Ocarina of Time and I love that game as well.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Bring it oooon, bitch! Imma fight ya!
In all seriousness, part of me reasoning is that I enjoy VIII's unusual take on JRPGs, the action commands, and I can really relate to Squall.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's my opinion that Final Fantasy titles improved until they hit VI, then started a downslide with VII, hit a sudden bump in quality at X, and then dropped right back to the slope they were tumbling down with XII.
I have no opinion on the MMORPGs because I hate MMORPGs so any opinion I could state on them would be judging them for being MMORPGs instead of on their own merits.

Still, FFVII is a game that is worthy of abridging, and I'm really looking forward to what they come up with. The impression I got is that they'll start it in the second half of 2015, is this right?
I hope they call out Barrett's epic act of trolling, brought on by a poor translation.
"Attack while its tail is up!"
Screw you, Barrett!

Basically he's a genius in combat. Maybe that's why had clever moments during Freeza fight.
He was so focused on fighting his brain could actually think of good ideas.
