For those who didn't watch the Patreon video, Lani revealed that their next big project will be a fully animated Final Fantasy VII parody.
This is actually a really neat idea. Taka had mentioned it in a recent panel that I saw on Youtube, so I had already known about it. I know Taka is voicing Cloud, but...that's about it.
The other great thing about VII is that, like DBZ, it has a lot of translation issues and probably just misinformation. I wonder if they're going to address those.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I wonder how it'll compare to Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening.

Oh, I love that comic! I think I found it through this site, actually.
FF 7 is just really, really...flawed. But it can still suck you in. And that's where the best jokes can come from.

... I actually remember seeing a WIP trailer for this last year at their panel for San-Japan. Totally forgot about it.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI wonder if parts of the compilation will be acknowledged. I could see them giving it the occasional Take That! like GT gets in DBZA, stuff like Genesis showing up during the Nibelheim incident only for Cloud and Sephiroth to stop what they're doing and tell him to go away, or Hojo uploading himself to the internet (Tron pose and effects optional) after his boss fight with the caption "This is not a joke. This actually happens according to Dirge of Cerberus."
What are the chances Cloud will sing a parody version of Poor Jack when he sorts out all his issues? I would like to see that happen. Maybe he can also rip off a hospital robe at the time to reveal his normal clothes underneath, or he's naked and didn't understand he had to put on his clothes underneath the ones he was going to rip off.
I'd also like to see Cloud's disguise be chosen with Cloud wearing lots of different outfits and Aerith shaking her head in disapproval at each one. Is there a trope for that thing?

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pier
That last one wouldn't be nearly as good as "Whores! I require makeup!"
Really, TFS is great but the work I'm going to be comparing them to is most excellent. This will be interesting.

...I think my favorite parts of the playthrough might be coming up.
This part is where shit hits the fan.
Poor Lani though. He sounds awful.

Oh, so Cat Loves Food was in the original?
Also, I've never heard someone say "you smell" in a more seductive way.

I actually think Krillin would be smart enough to avoid that, but hey, Rule of Funny and all that.
