Without the energy Cell can't transform IIRC. He needs both generators to get enough power to do it I think. Can dust off my old copy and check later.

Yet for some reason Team Four Star has changed the "Android off button" into a detonator in dialogue. I can't see a reason for doing this as it never gets used anyway, so why change it?
We aren't allowed to trope real people, so making a Team Four Star character page would be against the rules.

Technically we're not putting tropes about their personal lives, just their antics in their Let's Plays.
Smosh Games has a "Character Page."
Or Let's Play characters.
We could probably also list what characters each voice are.
And on the note of Remix
...
I'm pretty sure they're following the dub's suit. I think the dub simplified it to "Bombs in their chests."
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I can see them making a joke about it when Bulma hands Krillin the detonator. She could be like: "Push this and BOOM! Android bits everywhere."
Other than that I can't think of what they'd do with the change.

They'd give Cell some pretty massive gas.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It could be to avoid the Fridge Logic of why Krillin didn't just turn #18 off in order to thwart Cell, keep her from getting blown up or otherwise killed in the meantime, and then turn her power back on (or convince Bulma to do so) after Cell was defeated.
I think that was my first ever bit of Dragon Ball Fridge Logic back when I was a kid.

Not just the stage, but the time. Cell only gave them 10 days when Trunks explained The Room, which only happened because Cell saw their improvement and was interested.
Which is good, because after leaving the room Goku says they haven't finished their training and will use the remaining nine days to completely master the form.
It's possible that Goku and Gohan didn't really need those nine days, but that's speculation. Whereas to make Ten seem like he did something, you have to completely change how Cell behaves.
sure that wasn't very consequential considering all of Buu's victims were resurrected later by the Namekian Dragon
But it did allow Satan to stick around and help out with the forming of the spiritbomb etc
Satan was a liability before he contributed, though. Goku could have saved Gohan or the children if he hadn't went for Satan and Dende out of guilt.
Satan was only needed because Goku and Vegeta went with Operation: Symbolism rather than doing anything practical. And that was still only done after they couldn't beat Boo one-on-one, so it wouldn't be needed if Gohan could be saved.
Not at all. People really need to understand that pointing out a character is ineffectual is not necessary born of dislike for that character. Hell, even Toriyama writing him that way isn't a sign of dislike.
Turning her off wouldn't thwart Cell. Kuririn says he'll need to destroy her after deactivating her, or Cell can still absorb her.
Kuririn wasn't aware of what else was going on, though.
And even then, that's not necessarily true since Vegeta could have gotten in the way again.
Also, unlike 18, Kuririn's ki can be sensed. She's probably worse off with him. If 16 wasn't so damaged, disabling her and making 16 carry her away (which he would almost definitely agree to) would have been the best plan.
I still think Future Trunks could have appealed to Vegeta by saying he wanted to test his new strength against Cell and used that moment to dust the bitch.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Krillin's power being high enough to sense? How cute.
Yeah, 16 would've been the best option. But he was too banged up to fly. I wonder what 18's functions are like when shut down. Does she need to breathe? Because 16 grabbing her and taking a walk might have worked.
Vegeta's smart enough to know that Trunks wanted nothing more than for Cell to just die. It takes a certain amount of knowledge to so efficiently ruin everything.

I have a message from another time...I think it was padding (but the good kind) and 17 didn't have a portion of his skull missing at that time.

It would have allowed Krillin or anyone to just kill the androids and be done with it.
