Everyone telling him to "stop it" this episode was pretty funny, though.
Is that what he was trying to say? That makes it SO much more funny!
This episode was great. Cell seems to be taking the Memetic Molester and rolling with it. And Android 16's development was great, considering what's going to happen MUCH later on down the track.
Also, goddamn it they made an Alucard reference. We can die satisfied now.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I wonder if they're going to somehow edit in in an appearance from 17 at the end of the saga, or if they're just going to roll with what they have and make a joke about how nobody actually knows where he ran off to after the wish (though that would make a great "cut to park ranger-ing" Brick Joke).

The "come again" joke got a bit overused.
Agreed!
I mean. Hell, I really like the implication that the people Cell absorbed couldn't just be wished back so long as Cell lived. The idea that they're still alive and conscious in a sense is one of the more depraved things in the saga and one of my favorite things in the anime.
It's really creepy. And that's cool. Dragon Ball doesn't try "horror" very often, and it's neat that it did.
They could do what they did with Nappa the Executive Producer in Season 2.
On an unrelated note, it's weird that 16 says that Cell is comprised of 10.78% of Goku's DNA. Because the way it's described, it's more like the cells of the different warriors have fused together and Cell is more of a genetic chimera than the result of a gene splicing project. So technically he'd have 100% of Goku's DNA in different parts of himself.
Cell's DNA would vary depending on where you got the sample from. But, since they mentioned Cell's power feeling like Krillin's, the part of the anime that said Krillin was part of Cell also mentioned Gohan. And Gohan has like 50% of Goku's DNA. Not counting the mitochondrial DNA, which would functionally be 0%.
But anyway, wouldn't that mean 16 would want to kill Gohan in this series?
I love pre-mortem one-liners, even when they turn out to be considerably more pre than the speaker intended.
"Wait, now I see a light."
"WALK TOWARDS IT!"
Edit
I think 16 just really wanted to kill Cell, to protect 17 and 18, and used the "Goku's DNA" bit as an excuse to do so under his programming

I have a message from another time......I wonder if all of Cell's cells are multinucleated.
Like, every single cell has a nucleus from Goku, and from Vegeta, and from Frieza and Cold and Piccolo and Krillin and Tien and Gohan and Nappa and not-Yamcha.
I mean, granted, Cell is a bullshit abomination in defiance of all of actual science.
Also, I just noticed they cut the scene where Goku punched Gohan.

And it worked so well for 16 because he normally IS so literal. When he starts making badass one-liners, you KNOW shit is going to go down.
I realised the fight between Vegeta and Cell isn't probably going to happen until Episode 49. But that's going to be amazing. We're going to get Vegeta vs Semi-Perfect Cell AND Gohan going Super Saiyan. In the same episode.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind, Gohan doesn't go Super Saiyan until Cell reaches his perfect form. But we'll still get actual Goku/Gohan bonding, and that will be...interesting.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Knowing their pace of 2 episodes/4 manga chapters for each Abridged episode
Vegeta will probably encounter Cell at the end of EP 4. He will step aside in the next. and Cell will show off his perfect form in 50.
though the anime did stretch out Semi-Cells screentime a lot, so who knows

I was literally just about to link to that, haha. But, yeah, it would be a bit ooc for Abridged!Goku.

So, in case anyone missed last page, Episode 47
is out. Yay!
Also, on the main page the progress bar has gone to writing 17%.
...Would have thought it'd be a bit more than that, considering they mentioned working on two at once now.
