I lied Man of Steel better when it was called Dragon Ball Z.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! No, it still would have sucked but you could at least turn your mind off and enjoy it.
Likewise, Resurrection of "F" may end up being that way.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The problem with Man of Steel is it tried WAAAAY too hard to be serious. DBZ never gets that dark, even in the most serious moments. Toriyama tends to avoid crazy melodrama when he can (Eg: compare the manga and anime versions of History of Trunks.)
The action was in Man of Steel was cool, but everything else wasn't even bad, it was just BORING.
And Dragonball Evolution's problem was it was too generic. You could have replaced the characters with anyone else and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Yeah, they seem to be having a lot of fun alluding to the park ranger thing.
Also, I liked Cell getting confused when he got to 16.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Judging by the cut, it looks like they skipped Cell's creepy-as-fuck powering up bit from the anime entirely.
A shame. I was hoping they would keep that.
On the other hand, that means the fights might be cut down too, and one of the things I liked about how Imperfect Cell operated in the manga - at least in this scene - was the efficient way he would try to take out threats, which kind of slips when a bunch of fight sequences are added in the middle.
Not that I ultimately didn't like those fight sequences, but still.

Yeah, Cell powering up there was really disturbing. Like, surprisingly disturbing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Oh, man. They sure like hyping me up for the new episode!
And on that note of future episodes, is anyone else REALLY looking forward to when they get to Vegeta vs Cell? I feel like it has so many comedic opportunities. Come on, take the two biggest egotists in the show, and make them fight one another? The possibilities are endless.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I'm really looking forward to/dreading Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 bit. I really hope that whatever happens is the end of "Goku the shitty dad" joke, 'cause they kinda milked it for all it was worth in History of Trunks, and they'll probably run it into the ground at the end of the Saga.
My various fanfics. What I really want is to have the "Goku's a shitty dad" to be addressed in full during the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Like, Goku will be all like "What do you hate most in the world? Just try and think about that?" And Gohan is eventually like "I hate...I hate...YOU!"
And then he turns into a Super Saiyan. But Goku is so pleased at this that he doesn't seem to register what Gohan had said.
As for Super Saiyan 2...I hope they make that similar to canon. Just have everyone be like My God, What Have I Done? at the end.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! You know what would be amazing? If Goku and Gohan came out of the HTC as friends. They'd have literally no one to interact with for an entire year. Either they'd be friends, or one of them would be dead. It would be beautiful if they came out of it as buddies, and therefore all the more tragic that right when Gohan and his father finally start to bond, Gohan loses his father again, and it's all his fault.
My various fanfics.Goku should have taught Gohan Instant Transmission. That is possible the single most useful move in the series. Even Beerus kinda freaked out when Goku started spamming it like a boss.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I still don't know why Goku didn't teach anyone that. They had 3 years! And Goku never considered it that whole time?
I have to headcanon that Goku tried to teach it, but they couldn't figure it out. Maybe Goku is just a terrible teacher.
And, honestly, I don't think Abridged!Gohan HATES Goku, per se. He just has a lot of pent-up resentment from all the times he's been abandoned.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! It's like Michael Jordan being an owner. When you're excellent at what you do, and it comes so flawlessly, you don't know how to teach people who don't have your innate ability.
My various fanfics.Cell basically IS Alucard. At least, Perfect Cell will be.
I'm so looking forward to that.

That is a really difficult question to answer.
Dragonball Evolution is turning Dragon Ball into a generic Harry Potter movie rip-off. Man of Steel just has some cool effects in action scenes. But everything other than that was boring. And even the fight scenes had issues (like building destruction).
