I think it is kinda hypocritical and also dumb.
Goku's never had an issue with getting help before. No, not even in the manga.
I'm not a medical professional, but I am a biologist.
From what I've gathered from medical professionals, there's still a level of debate.
Clinically, I think they normally call death based on the heart stopping.
I mean, the brain helps regulate the heartbeat, and the brain needs oxygenated blood to live, so. It's kind of an issue of semantics. The one tends to cause the other.
Which is interesting, because nerve damage in the peripheral nervous system can repair itself as long as the cell itself survives.
I mean. There's a general rule that nerves and muscles can't grow new cells, but technically, cell growth isn't the only form of repair. Cells are made of things. Organelles. Proteins. Lipids. Carbohydrates. Cells can repair themselves from certain kinds of damage depending on how extensive it is and what materials they have available.
When you get a first or second degree burn you might lose sensation in that extremity because the nerve itself gets damaged. But if you keep hydrated and get nutrients you should recover.
But the central nervous system has a tendency to scar.
Of course. The heart is a muscle. When parts of the heart don't receive oxygen they start to die. And they can't really recover very well after that. The heart can adjust the way it contracts to try to make up for it, but.
<Imitating Socrates> Is the operation of the brain and heart the definition of life, or are their merely qualities of being ali- <is shot>

Beat the final before Goku shows up. According to Kaiser (I think), Goku shows up if you take longer than about two minutes or you drop below half health.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm curious - why wasn't Krillin wished back when they wished back everyone else? Was it because Freeza blew him up?
Oh God! Natural light!Nah, it's because they used the Earth Dragon Balls, and Krillin had died and come back to life with them before.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!So just caught up with the Xenoverse playthrough on Youtube. I kinda spoiled myself early by catching the cutscenes for the game beforehand, but it's funny just how many holes are between them, considering how much explaining the game leaves to the gameplay itself.
I also just love the overall presentation. The way the game moves between cutscenes and gameplay, switching playable characters with the Ginyu stuff, the good character expressions, the general "open-world arena" aspect with people jumping in and out....while I wouldn't focus on the Action RPG element, I'd love to see other manga/anime-based fighting games take story approaches like this one.
....To bring this back to Team Four Star, a general reminder to why I don't watch the videos on their website, because it seems some people here haven't heard me bitch before: Their video player just does not buffer videos well for me. It reminds me of the player Spoony used to use before he scrapped it.

I'm using Firefox and haven't had a problem in forever. What feels like forever ago, their LP of Left 4 Dead 2 would sometimes stutter or repeat segments but no video has done that since.

Well, he did, but it was pretty late in the series.
He and Vegeta crushed the Potara rather than fuse back into Vegetto because they were all, "Man, getting help sucks, let's fight him one-on-one, that's the sportsmanlike way to do it."
Predictably, this decision did not work out well for them and very nearly doomed the universe.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
I liked that Lani refused to admit that Goku got the final kill again. I'm wondering if they know about the Xenoverse spoilers considering all their "Goku, securing the kill" jokes.
Which is funny since he went out of his way to teach Goten and Trunks how to fuse.

And had a way to beat Boo one-on-one but sat around thinking "sure do wish I could fuse with someone right now". Or that they still worked together in that fight, even though they weren't fused.
Really Toriyama just didn't have a better way to write out the potara. Obviously Vegetto can't stick around because he's not really Goku and Vegeta but he's too convenient unless Goku and Vegeta are huge idiots about it.
I remember Vegeta in particular being an idiot about it by crushing his, and Goku being all sour grapes "well, fine. I didn't want to stay fused anyway" about it.
What way did he have to beat Buu? SS 3? Didn't he exhaust himself trying that on Mr. Buu? I don't think it'd have worked on Buutenks, let alone Buuhan.
I have a message from another time...The power gap would have still been a problem anyway, just one problem stacked on another.
