Suddenly, I take back what I said about Dr. Gero having no naming theme.
It just clicked with me that, as progenitor of the androids, he's Dr. Zero.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I still want to know why he put his brain into an old-looking body. If I were him I'd at least design my immortal robot body to look young and handsome.
19 I can at least forgive as being based on a desktop doll, so at least he had an idea in mind.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Once again this was literally Cells plan he even said it was his plan.
The swedish volumes had(in place of the usual fan art section at the back)a glossary telling the reader what the characters names were puns on(since Kylskåpet or Kung Piccola isn't very threatening names if you translate from english/japanese)which was updated for every new volume with the new characters. When Dr. Gero showed up they actually said "Unknown but we think it's a pun on Gyro?".

WELL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO SAY?!!!
One Strip! One Strip!Wander mentioned Future Perfect Cell... I'd like to forget he exists
◊, myself.
Kuririn died a virgin. Twice.
Same with Chaozu. Maybe that was three times.
Ten could've been another double virgin death.
Vegeta might've been a virgin the first time he died.
I'd say the same for future Gohan.
Hell present Gohan probably died a virgin.
I mean they all came back. But we only know that Vegeta, Gohan and Kuririn got laid after that.
Also if future Gohan got a body in heaven, then... he'd still need to find a compatible partner who was also heroic enough to be given a body. Yeah he's probably shit out of luck then.
Huh never looked at Cell that way (aside from 18's screaming as she's absorbed scarring me as a kid) but it lines up extremely well with the plot. He starts out lacking in power, so he sets out to take it from others. He can't be complete without it, but even after he gets his way he still doesn't know what to do, so he continues to make people suffer.

It's more that he always had two goals - become perfect, and murder people for funsies. He achieved one, which gave him an improved toolkit for pursuing the other.
Seriously, Imperfect Cell was sadistic as fuck - it was never just about obtaining more power with him. Dude liked to play with his food.

What's precedent ever done for us?

The problems with most of his android designs were personality related.
In the show/manga the exception was 19. In the abridged version there were no exceptions.
...Side-note, I think either 14 or 15 in that movie looks like he's in blackface. And he's sneaky, lazy, and not smart. Which.
I mean, that's kinda worse than 13's accent, really. Surprised abridged 17 didn't comment on that.
The thing is though that when putting his brain in things it'd be his personality.
...I don't know whether doing the operations to himself and putting in the implants that made 17 and 18 would be harder or not. I mean, they were teenagers, while he was old. Maybe his body couldn't take the stress or the blood loss and his son was dead so he couldn't get any transplants or donations from anywhere. Lapis and Lazuli had each other if he needed one of them to get a new kidney or borrow part of a liver.
