Huh, I thought they had a different ultimate already. Anyways, it might be crappy, but since they put a ton of points into Ki, that thing can actually do some good damage if at close range.

I thought they weren't using the kamehameha because they had no points in ki?

Wait, I can't remember, are they putting points in strike, basic or ki?

Ah, that explains it. It's Budokai 3 all over again!

Guys, the progress meter has gone up to 99%. This means we should get the next episode by December!

I'm pretty sure they just don't know what they are doing, and then snarking about it.

As funny as it kinda was, that made me lose interest in watching to be honest.

I can't fault them for getting sick. Shit happens.

In which Dumplin is the Hulk.

Doing this to Beerus would be fun.

would be tricky, as Beerus's boss-armor prevents grabbing, so you'd need to do it in those brief moments after your attacks have made him able to stagger

I have a message from another time...

It seems like Cell also has throw immunity. So Kieron's "game-breaking strategy" will literally be completely useless after this fight.

boss armour isn't always active, from what I've seen of it in parallel quests.

That was anticlimatic as hell.

Kieran mentions he played past the Frieza saga, didn't he? That seems to indicate the technique is still useful in later fights.

As someone who has also played later fights I can say that isn't really the case.

I tried it against Cell. Didn't work.

Not in the Time Patrol quests, anyway.

The idea is to wear through boss armour with successive attacks, then got to town with your usual strategies once the combo meter starts lighting up. Ultras like Death Ball are especially good for creating openings.

What's precedent ever done for us?

History of Trunks is out

Pretty good, though I'm a bit underwhelmed. Maybe coz it's a more dramatic story than DBZ Abridged's usual fare.

That. Was. Amazing! It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but it was consistently entertaining. All of the callbacks, all of the edits, all of the references, it just worked. Future Gohan...they nailed it. I am SO looking forward to seeing Gohan in the main timeline now. All of his daddy issues...they've done the build up. Now all they need is the climax.

And the universe felt more REAL. It's just...so much Fridge Logic...it was great.

The drama is good, the humour is good, and the drama and the humour probably shouldn't be in that close proximity to each other. Enjoyable, but less so than most episodes

[up][up] That's my feeling too.

The Gohan stuff veered almost on the uncomfortable point for me. For one because I don't find parental abuse or neglect funny (even if I admit TFS has a point in depicting Goku as such), but this combined with Gohan no longer even interacting with his mom (who at this point is a pathetic wreck), and hallucinating Piccolo's voice in his own head, that just went, wow, like, that's sad. Oh, and then he dies and his mom doesn't even know that's happened either. So, that's horrible. I struggle to imagine a worse fate for Gohan really.

Like, it's so bleak it's sort of hard for me to watch that, then get a chuckle because Trunk picked up on saying "Crap Basket" or on the Android's antics.

I thought that was fucking hilarious. Still don't appreciate the Goku is a bad dad jokes but the rest of it was really great.
