I'd still enjoy some of the other Shonen tropes that DBZ does, like Beam-O-War and Pummel Duel.

So I've been playing with the character customization. On PS 3.
Given the amount of influence from the MMO, why are Saiyans and Humans separate races?
...Are the Saiyan characters purebloods or hybrids? Like, are they Goku and Vegeta's (I'm not sure if Tarble and Gure could reproduce) descendants or just random people taken from various points in Saiyan history through lolTimeTravel.
Not just talking about the Player Character, I'm also talking about the various other Time Patrol members in Toki Toki City. Some of whom are seemingly Saiyans.
Also, why don't the Saiyan characters have tails?
Also, the Majin race seems kinda out of left field for anyone not passingly familiar with Online.
Which is a shame because I think the Majin race is one of my favorite things too. Buu going all "I think, therefore I am" and creating a companion in his own image because Mr. Satan left his porn out.

Given the premise, I expect the Saiyans are pure-blooded Saiyans from Planet Vegeta brought here by time travel.
My character for my first playthrough is a female Saiyan named Papaya, which seemed like a good name at the time but on reflection, is a minor continuity error as Frieza's non-Saiyan grunts were fruits; Saiyans are vegetables.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I am disappointed in the fact that most of the generic NPCs don't have name puns.
...And also by the fact that, after I just unlocked the multiplayer lobby thing after meeting the Supreme Kai of Time for the first time, that they keep popping up and causing slowdown in the PS 3 version.
Like. They should have accounted for that. Given you an option to turn it off, or adjusted the graphics settings or engine settings or something.
If game developers want to release a game on a system they should take things like that into account.
I'm usually fine with not having the most detailed textures or lighting effects or draw distance or whatever in my video games, graphics quality isn't something I'm usually bothered by, but frame rate issues piss me off. I mean, with PC games I can turn down my settings, or, if that doesn't work, eventually upgrade my rig.
But it's like with some of these cross-generation games, like Ground Zeroes and Alien Isolation, they still ended up putting the settings too high for the PS 3 version.
I mean, I think the PC version of Ground Zeroes has a computer a bit more powerful than the PS 3 in a lot of ways as the "minimum requirement".
So does Rising, but with that there wasn't really any major slowdown or other issues I noticed on the console version. Things I have noticed with Ground Zeroes, Isolation, and now Xenoverse.
Someone should have noticed some of these things at some point.

Well, yeah. Those games were all made with the much stronger PS 4 in mind. Rising was made with the upper limits of the PS 3 well known and it still couldn't keep cut objects on the screen for more than 30 seconds before they had to fade away and the game still suffered from lower frames in some cases.
In terms of power the systems go: PC(if well built)>PS 4>XB 1>Wii U>PS 3>XB 360>Vita>Wii>N 3 DS>3DS
I am well aware. Please don't patronize me.
But I still think it demonstrates negligence on the part of playtesters and developers.
I don't care about objects in Rising fading away.
I care about my action games having a stable and consistent framerate.
If I can notice it while playing, it's a problem.
If they wanted to release it on PS 3 they should have checked and tested some of these things beforehand.
And I could have sworn the 3DS was actually slightly stronger than the Wii, what with basically having to render everything twice.

If the 3DS was stronger than the Wii Smash Bros would have still have had Ice Climbers and Xenoblade 3DS wouldn't look so different from the Wii version.
Consistent frame rate is the reason Rising had items fading since they started out with the idea of having everything be cuttable but had to dial it back to preserve frame rate since the game started chugging and went down to 3 frames a second if there were more than 40 cut objects on the screen at the same time at first.
I don't think there was PS 3 playtesters and they simply ported over the PS 4 version while dialing everything down to Low.
I remember getting an email on my PS 3 to be a Beta Tester for Xenoverse but I missed the deadline for activating it so I wasn't invited.
If a Xenoverse sequel had a roster of over 300 unique characters and 10 different CAC races, how'd you react?
There aren't many good vegetable names, though. We can ignore continuity for something fun like this, I think.
Dumplin's a pretty good name along this theme, I think.

Oh God! Natural light! That's Online though. Not Xenoverse.
In Online I don't think we go to Toki Toki City or meet the Supreme Kai of Time. We don't have direct contact with the Time Patrol except through Trunks.
Also, Xenoverse is set in Age 850 while Online is set in Age 1000.
...Is Saiyan a pun on something?
Well, Saiya-jin.
I guess Kuriza kept himself busy.
EDIT: Where the hell is Toki Toki City anyway?
Is it in Other World? On Earth? In space somewhere?

So Saiya-jin is literally 'vegetable people'.
...this stuff makes me remember not to take it too seriously.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!

For the record, I'd be playing it on the 360, so performance isn't an issue/is out of my hands.
What's precedent ever done for us?
