Okay what the actual fuck.
That is not just what happened. Cru was addressing a potential contradiction to what he just said, not shooting down someone talking about something they enjoyed.
Most of the time "X is filler" comes up, it's because someone is asking about something that is contradictory.
I'm noticing a common sequence of you being completely inaccurate about how things actually happen. I hope this response you mentioned is silence, because that would be the only reasonable thing to come from you.
Movies are treated differently to filler. Spike have said that they won't use filler, which is why the Spice Boys never made it into any of the Tenkaichi rosters despite the demand. Some other devs have, though, like Monolith, but I don't remember Dimps doing so outside of shout-outs.
Welcome to anything he's said in recent interviews.
There's a reason for that. SPOILER: That's not her motivation at all.

Except for when than fights dragging out a tad too much (either because the fighters aren't doing anything, or because they get long flashbacks, or whatever else), I'd say Dragon Ball filler is overall pretty good. It's silly, and silly is good for Dragon Ball.
Plus, it's always cool to see episodes with guys like Tao Pai Pai. The episode where Goku stumbles upon him before the Cell games is a personal favourite.
We were just talking about Ginyu not doing anything before that though.
Oh, hey there Mr. Kettle, name's Pot. Have we met?
Lion said Ginyu dicked around, Cru said he did not, Lion gave examples that Cru pointed out were filler.
Absolutely nothing like what you said. No-one even commented on the quality or necessity of it until after he responded.
Can't see where you're coming from because my recollection isn't inaccurate at all.
I like the anime more than the manga
, but to say the manga sucks will never fly with me. The anime introduces a lot of nonsensical shiz that only contradicts itself later. It doesn't hold a candle to the manga when it comes to the quality of storytelling, bro.

I've noticed this odd need to defend Filler in every anime fandom that has it, as if people are attacking it just for saying it's Filler. I don't get why they do it.

PS 3.
It's pretty fun so far. That said, Team Four Star really needs to do more Parallel Quests to make the main story easier to clear.
Plus, it'll be fun if they get a mentor. Mine is Piccolo, obviously enough.
I have a message from another time...Absolutely nothing like what you said. No-one even commented on the quality or necessity of it until after he responded.
I suppose we interpreted the exchange differently.
I mean.
We're talking about the series that has a rabbit taken to the moon to make toys by a character who is later established to need to breath oxygen.
We have a smelly character defeated by one of the protagonists not being drawn with a nose.
We have basically all of the Android-Cell arc, where Freiza comes back then is beaten by the son of two characters who have barely interacted from the future, then there's an old guy and a clown then two teenagers and their new big friend and a robot bug clone thing and. Yeah.
And I don't think contradictions are necessarily a storytelling flaw.
Stories are not made better by being internally consistent. A story isn't a list or a straight line, it's a web of allusions and symbols and representations and foreshadowing and resolution. With stories it's important that we be able to guess what happens next, to form conclusions and expectations, to be able to understand what we're being told. Now, contradictions can create a problem with this, by making our conclusions faulty. But they aren't a problem in and of themselves.
I'm a bit irritated by some of the elitism involved.
...Yeah, the main problems with Dragon Ball's filler are a few instances of character exaggeration and the atrocities that are inflicted on the pacing.
The manga is a very different animal than the anime. A lot of what people think about when they think about Dragon Ball is from the anime, both the good and the bad. The anime added a lot of filler material, some of which changes the plot and characters, some of which is harmless, but it's generally the most entertaining part because it distracts from the shitty, drawn-out main story - while also contributing to why the main story is shitty and needlessly drawn out.
Which is because the anime drew out the main story and fluffed it to shit. The actual plot in the manga is much more concise, the action quicker and more intense, and the pacing much more smooth. The manga is the definitive place to go for the core story; the anime is the best place to go if you just want to watch the characters faff around.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yeah, sorry. I'd have gotten it on steam, but there's no freaking way my 2008 Mac Book would be able to handle Xenoverse. Maybe I'll get it on Steam when I get a nice desktop.
And yeah, I've heard good things about Cell. I'll stick with Piccolo at least until I learn the Special Beam Cannon, though.
Which will be hilarious to use, since I'm using the Nappa voice.
I have a message from another time...Not going for Steam probably would've been the best choice for me as well. 12 frames per second for the win.
I'm with Vegeta as my mentor because... I have no idea why. I know Vegeta will be a ki-type character and I made a melee character. Then again aside from Kuririn's first training giving me a melee combo (which is actually useful and stylish) it appears every mentor available is a ki type.
Actually the whole game seems to heavily favour ki-types, at least for the first playthrough. I've unlocked way more ki Supers, first Ultimate is a ki-type regardless of the style you pick, and damn near all the clothes boost ki-stats and lower melee ones. It's made me feel I made the wrong choice.
I picked what might be the worst voice. Since my first character was female, I chose voice 3 which sounded the best from what I've heard of the voice videos on youtube... but that didn't include battle grunts, and she has an absolutely annoying grunt... thing... on the start of any light attack combo.
Which means I hear that sound a lot.

It's actually kind of funny, the swedish version of the manga is 42 volumes long(with Raditz showing up a few chapters into volume 17) and I just checked how many panels it takes for Goku to go SS from the moment Krillin explodes. It's 10 panels(5 of which are reactions to the death and one being Frieza taunting). In total it's 1 and a half page.
Edit: Also I had forgotten that the swedish version translated his name as Freezer.

I never realized Xenoverse was on the PS 3. I should look into getting it when I have the money.

Where did those dance off gifs come from?
