Of course. It's just the common fan response is that he's a badass as he's "What Gohan SHOULD have been like". I don't agree, imo.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I think it's combination "Future Badass" trope and "Gohan is always praised in-universe at being this incredibly strong fighter with all this potential and he does nothing with it but go to high school and crush on the pretty girl"
It is, in fact, Yamcha's scar. An ancient and eldritch creature, the scar migrated to Gohan after the death of its previous host. It is imbued with ancient magic that condemns whoever wears it to a life of incompetence and failure.
Y'know, after watching it on Toonami, I'm starting to think it was the fight with the Nappa and Vegeta - and not necessarily Raditz as I first thought - might be the point where the tone of the series, the approach to characterization and the kind of threats the heroes fought really started to change.
Maybe even starting with Yamcha's death, even.
I was going to post this
in response to Gohan being called a dork but... that version of this scene is horrible.
Here we are:
Perhaps the series should have ended with this confrontation, with Buu turning the tables and Gohan having to 'Goku' his way through the problem.
I can't wait for Abridged!Buu. I'm 99 percent sure Mr. Popo will somehow be involved.

The hype is real!!!
Oh, I am so excited for this.
Might be a coincidence, but in the dub, Future Gohan is voiced by Dameon Clarke, who also does Cell. Could that be why they chose Taka?
EDIT: It's not Taka. It's someone called Apatheria. New guy! That's cool.

Well, when Trunks first warns Goku about them, he DOES call them Cyborgs (in the Abridged version, I mean). Goku just decides to call them Androids, and everyone assumes he's right. So, I guess in Trunks's timeline, they were always called Cyborgs.
I love it when TFS keeps continuity.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! This again?
The series is good, but it cannot hold up without or next to the original DBZ. It's just a parody. I hate having to downplay it because it's good, but I absolutely loathe this "It's better than the original!" mindset that typically comes from people that really don't know much about the source material beyond memes and in-jokes.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."

I expect to see a TON of Terminator references. Beyond that though, I'm not sure.
