End of. Zarbon piledrove him into the lake, which exploded with a flash of energy. Zarbon then flew back to Frieza's ship, assuming Vegeta dead. Meanwhile, crawling out of the water, Vegeta asked weakly, "Why did I explode?"

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It was an atomic pile driver.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I think it's likely the otherworld tournament will be another one of those "briefly flash through to filler events + non-sequitur" like they did with a lot of the stuff Goku did on Snake Way or Bulma fighting a giant crab. IIRC they haven't seriously (well, as seriously as this series gets) done a full episode covering a filler plot since the Fake Namek episode - unless you count the movie specials. Even the Garlic Jr. Saga episode blatantly dropped the main plot in favor of using one of the subplots to make fun of Krillin.

I'd like to think Hellzone Grenade is the payoff to Nail and Piccolo's previous move naming session.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.I think Bacon was more saying he didn't care, not that Gotenks didn't get screwed.
Though I personally don't think Gotenks (or many other characters) got screwed. Gotenks was mostly a gag character who only has himself to blame for what happened.
I think only Piccolo, Vegeta, Kuririn and Gohan got screwed. In Vegeta and Kuririn's case they just got screwed by horrible Android arc characterisations, Piccolo got screwed by having his power ups go nowhere, and Gohan had a horrible Android arc characterisation followed by his power up going nowhere.
Vegeta, Kuririn and Piccolo all improved in the Boo arc though, which is nice.

I actually kind of hate Gotenks for even existing as a character. I can't put my finger on why yet reflecting on it as I have, but just... something about him rubs me the wrong way with relation to the plot.
Then again, I'd say Gotenks is just a symptom of the Buu arc and I just hate the Buu arc too. It was too silly for my tastes - and I'm someone who isn't always behind darker & edgier and enjoys lighter things.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Gotenks is absolutely not a role model, but he's entertaining. His sheer stupidity and endangerment work well with Piccolo's Straight Man role.
There is a big problem with Mood Whiplash regarding Chichi's death, though. Goten gets pretty fired up about that, barely able to avoid attacking Boo, and he gets right into the training to improve.
But then Trunks convinces him they should screw around as Gotenks, and that's what happens.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI worded that wrong. Not counterpart per se, but on par with Goku.
I mean, he almost killed Goku at the end of Dragon Ball.
He at least was fairly competent for some time after that.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI think the Buu arc did a pretty good thing with Piccolo there by giving him a solid role as a mentor figure for the Goten and Trunks. Unlike most of the other characters, it gave him a way to significantly effect and even at times direct the plot without needing to be the strongest in the universe, which in a way diminished the effect of role-diminishing effect of Can't Catch Up that ultimately plagued pretty much everyone who wasn't Goku, and was actually rather clever.

Wait, when did Vegeta ask that?
And why would he think he'd explode? Am I forgetting something?
