Has anyone seen the Avengers Age Of Ultron trailer?
Because I commented on something reminding me of Guru in the MCU thread, and I got this response.
It's overshadowed by Goku's much more extreme jump to 3, 000, 000 in order to compete with Frieza, but it's still pretty ridiculous.
Yeah, but it's not as extreme as his jump from 416 to 8,000 on Kaio's planet. That was 158 days in 10x gravity. If you just lengthen the duration of his space flight the jump wouldn't be so bad.
Yeah, that's what I meant about rearranging things. If the gang got to make their wish before the Ginyus arrive (they had all the Dragon Balls until Ginyu ran off with them) and Nail came with them, then Piccolo would arrive and fuse with Nail, win, etc. To tie up Freeza and Captain Ginyu, the Ginyu Force could arrive just after the second wish is made, and the team would give up the Dragon Balls with the third wish remaining because they know Ginyu lacks the password. Ginyu takes them back as normal, Freeza gets pissed and goes after Guru, Nail's not around to protect him so he just tortures/kills Guru and that fucks up the Dragon Balls.
Ginyu can't make the wish. He doesn't speak Namekian.
He's welcome to try, though I think this sequence of events would necessitate Ginyu taking them all into custody - the Balls and the protagonists - or just ordering them killed. Piccolo would be rescuing everybody in Goku's place, as Saiga noted.

Saiyan Arc to Frieza Arc felt like Goku meeting his heritage and then rectifying a wrong done to his people. Even if he doesn't give a shit about them, it doesn't diminish the fact that it was a Saiyan that crushed Frieza.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Well, Porunga's stones don't scatter since that was a feature God deliberately added to facilitate the journey.
But yeah, for my idea for the Namek arc to work Porunga would need to not turn to stone while it still had the wish remaining. I'm not really sure what the problem with dragons being able to preserve wishes is, I always thought it was a neat and practical idea once multiple wishes were brought in.
I always saw the Dragon's time in stone as a dormant state necessary to restore the energy it used to create the wish, which it enters into automatically once that energy is consumed.
So if a Dragon grants 2/3 of its available wishes, it still needs to go into that dormant state in order to restore 2/3 of its wish-granting power.
That's pure fan-wank, though, so take it as you will.
