Imagine if DBZ had pioneeered
Tranquil Fury instead of shouting power ups.
For Let's Plays: I prefer the Pokemon ones by Red Chocobo and associates, and The Dark Id Let's Plays. Only LP connected to Team Four Star was Vegeta's Surgeon Simulator and Krillin's Slender one. Never finished the Slender videos.
It would be remiss to not mention that even if they're rarer and usually focused on strategy games, there are LP er's that seek to min/max or play by some ruleset. Folks like an Arumba who does Paradox Interactive games and usually tries to play to some standard of efficiency (Particularly in WC runs), or a Many A True Nerd, who did a fantastic no-kill run of Fallout:New Vegas where he tried to complete as many missions as possible without any accredited kills. Sometimes you just have to look a bit deeper than the most popular things, which usually attempt to appeal to LCD or just comedy in general and are often unedited.
Haven't watched any of the TFS plays though, so no idea how they stack up. Are they actually worth watching? I did remember watching the first episode of the BL 2 playthrough and thinking "Meh", I wasn't quite sold on the off the cuff nature of it.... but maybe I should give it a second chance.

I was looking for the Mr. Sandman bit, which isn't as creepy now. I wonder if they'll cover that scene in those analysis videos. Then I found this...
Yeah, between mentoring Goten and Trunks and later becoming the straight man in the Piccolo/Gotenks Comedy Show I'd say Piccolo does pretty good for a non-Saiyan in the Buu saga. Only ones who get close are Hercule and Videl, and the latter's whole character arc basically revolves around half-Saiyan Gohan anyway.
At least none of them are Yamcha...Yamcha lost coolness as early as Dragon Ball.
At least Krillin held his own in his first fight against Piccolo Jr. during that series. For a little while. Yamcha got beat up by Kami. In the first round.
As Super Kami Guru said, "I do not know what this Yamcha is, but it sounds horribly disappointing."

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yamcha never really had coolness to lose. Well- he kinds of did, but not in the way that normally means. Like, he was a joke early on, but that was okay because it was a comedy series at that point. And then he disappeared for awhile until the series became slightly more serious, at which point he came back with badass looking scars and a bunch of offscreen training and proceeded to be more or less completely ineffectual, and stayed that way forever.
The only contribution he was every really able to make was playing Worf, and by the Z era he struggled even to manage that.

Krillin and Tien would've been able to hold their own for a while...
Yamcha got literally ONE hit through out the entire match and it wasn't even effective.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah, I would like to point out that the only person that Kami ever defeated other than Yamcha was Yajirobe, who, while strong, was always a bit of a coward and a joke character, and given he didn't train pretty much at all during the Time Skip and still managed to give Kami a decent showing...
And we all know that Kami would have lost to Mr. Popo.

Usually I prefer multi-person Lets Plays, 'cause I enjoy the humor in people interacting. Two Best Friends, Game Grumps, Nanners and Gassy Mexican and Markiplier Group videos, TFS Plays, and sundry.
