Now that DBO's getting a remake
, I can't help but wonder if there's going to be some kind of reference to it eventually. Especially when it comes to Fat Buu.

I get the impression that anything that could be humorous about Cell will be horrifying and creepy Nightmare Fuel instead. That's the way I took the "Mr. Sandman" sequence - it's both funny and terrifying at the same time!
I noticed. Hopefully they'll use DBOCom's translation patch as reference for the in-game text.
I also noticed it's only on the timeline (they have a semi-active facebook page and developer diary, too), which makes me believe that the timeline text was a direct, unedited "Blind Idiot" Translation from the sources.

... aaaaand I just saw that. Ouch.
I'm just glad to be getting my character back personally, but they're going to run into problems if that's what the in-game text is going to look like.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerYeah, I like the earlier suggestion of giving it a Cerberus twist instead of playing it straight, meaning 17 and 18 are still alive, but in terror/pain the whole time and all that.

No, it would be crowded. We wouldn't be able to hear Perfect Cell at all.
I don't think the "voices in head" gag works for Cell.
It would be perfect for Super Buu, though. Cell doesn't really use anything from 17 and 18, they're just ingredients for his transformation, but Super Buu fully absorbs people, gaining their abilities and stuff in addition to their power. Super Buu should have people in his head. Additionally, Majin Buu is an inherently sillier villain than Cell, despite how dark he is, so there's more room for juxtapositioning comedy and horror.
Cell is pretty straight horror.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I just realized something.
Omega Shenron, the Big Bad among Big Bads in DB, came from the one wish that Mr. Popo made.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI'm getting a bit ahead of myself, but every group has a Butt-Monkey or two. The Z-Fighters have Krillin and Yamcha. The Saiyans have Radditz. Frieza's gang had Dodoria and Guldo. The Androids have Dr. Gero and 19. Who would it be for the Buu Saga?
Also, I really hope that when they're done with Z they do part 1 too.

I'd say they should hold off on repeating the "voices in my head" gag until Vegito happens. We can have Goku and Vegeta arguing (well, Vegeta arguing, anyway) about how to fight. Meanwhile, Goku finds Minesweeper and zones out for a while.

I have a message from another time...@The voices in Cell's head idea. I still think that the best way to do that would be to turn it around and turn it into something horrible - like, 17 & 18 aren't still around in Cell's head, bugging him, they're trapped inside his consciousness, at his mercy / for his entertainment, while he uses their power to do terrible things. Extend it to everyone he absorbs and you've got something really Nightmare Fuel-worthy.
If they don't do it like that, however, I dunno if I'd like to see it. It might be good for a gag or two, but it would also run the risk of removing a lot of his menace if they kept doing it.

I dunno. None of Babidi's henchmen really stick around for long. I guess it would probably be Pui Pui. I could see them playing him kind of like Burter.

In the few scenes of Cell we've seen so far, he's been played seriously. I'm can't wait to see how they use him for comic effect.
