I'm amazed how good the editing is on this series. I hope Team Four Star could do Doctor Slump someday.
No wait, scratch that. What I'm most looking forward to in the Buu Saga is Popo getting killed by Super Buu. Also, how they will deal with the surprisingly large number of dark and deathly serious moments (Vegeta dying, the old couple getting shot, Fat Buu splitting and then remerging under Evil Buu, Super Buu doing... anything).

Yeah, Buu saga is weird. There's several moments where the show takes the piss out of itself, but just as many where there is clearly no fucking around to be had.
My various fanfics. There' also a scene where a bad guy shoot a puppy and Buu makes him EXPLODE from the inside out.
My various fanfics. He later murders a kid's mother in front of him before killing billions of people in seconds on a sadistic whim. He then consumes said kid and beats Gohan near death, where he's lying in a puddle of his own blood and can't even move, all while taunting him about how he couldn't save his little brother.
There's also all of the stuff Babidi does, like making that guy's head explode. And those two gunmen who murder an old couple, with one surviving just long enough to scream over the other's death before dropping dead.

For Buu killing Popo, if we are to believe that Mr. Popo really is the strongest being in the Abridged series, then he'll probably just leave on his own accord rather than be killed by Buu, leaving everyone else to be devoured because he's a jerk.
Oh, and he'll probably kick Dende off the lookout before Buu even threatens them, because booty call.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm not tired of "the jokes", I'm tired of this one specific joke, and would laugh if Popo was killed, thus enhancing the comedy factor. If anything, I think they need to add more jokes. The last few episodes have been quite sparse.
And it's supposed to be a parody, it makes no sense to just change major events like that.

The all-powerful Popo gag is based on the fact that Popo, despite what official sources say about his power level, is apparently powerful enough to parry two Super Saiyans simultaneously in a scene during the Buu Saga where Goten and Trunks wake up on the Lookout.
Compared to the powers of the cast during the early parts of Z, yes, Popo is an eldritch being of unfathomable power that could bite Frieza's head off while demolishing Goku and Vegeta simultaneously. But by the standards of Buu Saga, Goten and Trunks are the weakest Super Saiyans in the cast; there is no reason to assume Popo will still be untouchably omnipotent at that point.
Abridged Popo doesn't have a power level of infinity, he's just much higher on the Sorting Algorithm of Evil than the protagonists are capable of handling in the show up to this point. At least, that seems to be how they're playing it, and Popo's been sliding further away from soul-sucking horror and into comedy as the characters get closer to him.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Let's just assume that Popo currently has as much power as Buu, which is stronger than almost everyone introduced so far. But Buu will defeat him and absorb him and it will work as a way to establish Buu's strength.
Do we know they will even abridge the Buu arc though?
