Those aren't mutually exclusive.
But I do think they get funny at times. And good. I'm liking Dead Space so far.
"I will find you. And you will kill me."
"Kids these days! Think they can just jump on your face and eat your marrow! THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKED IN MY GENERATION! In my day, you had to...train with the old, perverted man with a turtle shell on his back before you could eat marrow. And even then, you probably SHOULDN'T!"

So wait, a few pages back, I'm the only person here who liked the Cell Saga? It was good when Cell came in, then went back to bad right when he transformed? The hell?

Yeah, I just read those too. My perception of Dragonball as a series will never be the same.

...you never watched the whole thing? Well that won't do at all. Find yourself an anime-sharing website and catch up.
I think TFS respects the original dubbing, since they used that as their opening song and haven't mocked it beyond the Toriyama joke.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I've never been particularly curious before about what the whole lyrics to the song are, because I find that japanese is a beautiful language to listen to in music form, and often enough, actual song lyrics are incomprehensible as hell and weaken the song to know. At least, that's been my experience.
But the one line I have been curious about in Cha-la Head Cha-La is the title line itself, Cha-La Head Cha-La. Having read the translation, I find that it translates to Cha-la head Cha-la. It is a complete nonsense line that's only there to sound pretty.
Figures.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I always knew Popo lived the... high life, But This Is Ridiculous. In all the right ways.

Eh, I liked it from the start, but I do agree with the idea that it goes downhill when Cell first transforms. Goku vs Cell is still good though, aside from Fridge Logic of why they don't team up.

Because "warriors honor" bullcrappery is all anime characters think of instead of being practical for once.
And the only ones who could even try teaming up would be the saiyans. Yamcha, 16 and the three bald ones would just stand on the side and stare, as usual.
I read the entire manga seires, BTW. I liked it, but I still find silly moments in it. But that's probably everything out there that I do, will or have liked.

That's never stopped them before. Most times they've tried to team up or help out Goku (Piccolo Daimao, Piccolo Jr, Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Ginyus, Freeza, Androids...) and the only times they didn't was because they knew it wouldn't work. At the Cell Games, given the fight Goku is able to put up alone, it's hard to believe the others aren't close enough to help out, especially when Cell is exhausted. Sure, he had power in reserve, but nobody knew that so we're not given any clear explanation for why they're not teaming up.

It has everything to do with my point
which you were responding to.
