SPEAKING of Dr. Gero, and keeping the discussion on the Abridged series.
He's the same voice actor they used for Cooler, right? Man, I hope that guy does more stuff in this series. Maybe Dabura.
My various fanfics.Cell isn't weaker than Goten and Trunks. He's SS 2-tier in his strongest form. Goten and Trunks are just around his own much weaker (but still extremely powerful) kids. At best they're around the suppressed power he used to beat Goku.
The villain team-up couldn't happen because the laws of this universe's Afterlife. Nothing to do with power levels. There's no indication the likes of Freeza and Cell couldn't keep up with the heroes if they trained. They just don't. Because they die. Because they're villains. Gero and his fat lackey weren't even an up on the power scale. They were weaker than the last villain pair, but were dangerous due to their special abilities and the heroes being caught off guard.
Making the new villain way stronger than the last is absolutely necessary to the plot and sense of escalation and scope. It would be totally boring BS if the ancient god eating demon COULDN'T kill the random alien warlord they beat in the last arc by flexing.
And again, stop pretending that the non-Z sections were any different. Everyone ALWAYS made big boosts that left the defeated villain of the last arc as garbage. Perfect example is the 23rd Budokai. Tao Paipai returns, even stronger than before due to his cybernetic enhancements, and even stronger than the Goku that beat him. Yet even Tien can just one-shot him now despite being nothing to Goku. Then we learn that the Ten that is at least 50% or so stronger than Cyborg Tao who is stronger than normal Tao only has a power level of 250, which is literally 7 times weaker than Raditz, a pretty average saiyan and the weakest of the main three in the arc.
Hell, when Kami debuts, he's so strong he can literally finger flick King Piccolo. Yet he's demoted to being moderately/decently weaker than both Goku and Piccolo the very next time he's seen.
EDIT: Gero had 19 perform the operation in the series. He said that.

Well, dying and being dead hasn't stopped Goku from getting stronger. Or Piccolo. Or like, everyone... Being dead is no obstacle to getting stronger in DBZ.

Yes. It is. You only get to keep your body in this series if you're bros with a god.
If you're good, your body is taken and your soul is sent to heaven.
If you're bad, your body is taken and and your soul is purified in Hell then reincarnated.
If you get killed by a demon, your body is taken and your soul is stuck in limbo.

SO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY'LL BE ANYWAY LITTLEKURIBOH WILL STAY WITH TFS, BY VOICING A NEW CHARACTER OR THE LIKE? I REALLY LIKED HIS FREEZA.
I REALLY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT TEAM FOUR STAR IS DOING WITH DBZ ABRIDGED ON THIS THREAD.
Sometimes life just sucks. You have to learn to take the good with the bad. Why should you expect anything different in the mediums?maybe some minor villain, like Babidi's mooks.
so,any ideas on song parodies they could do?
friend like me with Buu and Hercule?
Good. Because at least then when the thread gets bumped one could believe there's a new episode rather than another argument over power levels.
#IceBearForPresidentDragon Ball Multiverse has him a part of the Frost Demons. Toriyama, I think, hasn't named the species that Cold is a part of, but King Cold is a mutant of that species and Freza comes from Cold, so not really a member of the original species or something.

BIZNIZZ, YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY IS LOUD.
TFS keeps a pretty regular schedule and gives their own release notices. If someone assumes every new post is about a new episode, that's both their own problem and contrary to the idea of general discussion.
Best to stay on-topic; no one's against a change of subject, but a five-page derail is obviously going too far, and I'd have to guess it's probably not just the most recent pages he's referring to.

I assume the abridged series is called TFS rather than Dragonball because there were so many parody TFS channels lingering on Youtube, or was it due to the early episodes getting deleted off of Youtube, or both?

This, which is also a serious case of They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot.
Sadly, the nature of the series is such that while this may seem, on paper, as a potential setup for an amazing villainous team-up...nothing could ever have come of it, because of the nature of the show's power levels. By the time Cell was killed, half the cast could kill Frieza by flexing too hard in his general vicinity. Come the Buu Saga, even Goten and Trunks could probably run circles around Cell.
This really stopped being a series where recurring villains could be a thing after Goku unlocked the Super Saiyan transformation, because the protagonists' powers escalate so quickly and to such ridiculous extremes that the villains can't keep up either, and have to be traded out for a new villain who's significantly higher on the power scale in order to continue challenging the heroes. Even Dr. Gero, ostensibly a returning character from the Red Ribbon Army Saga, never actually appeared in said saga. He was a new villain masquerading as a returning character.
