Nah, that's Guldo.
I have a message from another time...Guldo actually got a fight scene where he was winning against the weaker members of the enemy group. He beat Gohan and Krillin, but Vegeta jumped in to sever his victory off at the neck before it could be finalized. Guldo is the Krillin of the Ginyu Force.
Jeice does nothing but get his ass kicked and fail. He's the Yamcha.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!^^ I'm talking about a professional baseball player (can we say cha-ching? If we aren't Bulma, who has more than enough money to pay someone to do it for her, then yes, I believe we can) with a sexy scar and an antiheroic past and a decent heart, who, even though he knows he's going to get his ass kicked, shows up to do what he can to help defend Earth. Because that's what you do when you're stronger than everyone else on the planet besides the top-tier.
Goku's the strongest and a really nice guy? Ask Chichi how well that's going for her.
Vegeta and Piccolo step over guys at Yamcha's level on the way to real threats? Super. Call me when they finally get the emotional maturity of a high schooler.
Even Krillin can beat Yamcha up? Krillin's a great guy and Eighteen's lucky to have him, but he is not a handsome man.
Seriously. To beat Yamcha as boyfriend material you have to start looking at the next generation, and I just don't think of Gohan that way.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!He got fired from baseball for starting fights because non-supers are all he can win against.
Guldo is obviously the Chaozu of the group. How much more obvious can it get?
"To beat Yamcha as boyfriend material"
...all you have to do is not be a cheater. Cause you know, that's a thing that he did.

Besides, I don't remember the whole cheating thing being canon. It doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense even if it is.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!That does not at all excuse that he cheated on something when he was not in an open relationship. There's absolutely nothing wrong with expecting faithfulness from your partner.
And yeah, it's canon. Mentioned in the manga and Toriyama confirmed it in an interview. Don't see how it doesn't make sense.
Jeice is at least as strong as Recoome (most likely not as strong as Nail though). This makes him mid-tier in the group.
Yamcha is and always has been shit-tier. So calling him the Yamcha of the Ginyu Force is an insult to him. The Yamcha of the Ginyu Force would actually be... Cui or something. Yes, I know he's not a Ginyu. That just makes the comparison work better.
Nah, even Cui's too relatively high tier. Yamcha is... Appule. Yeah, there we go, Appule. Appule is the Yamcha of the Ginyu Force.

Jeice is supposedly as strong as Recoome but, like all power levels in Dragon Ball Z, his onscreen performance doesn't show it at all. In theory, Jeice is a powerful and valuable member of the group. In theory, Yamcha is a great fighter who carries his own weight and contributes to his side.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.He isn't "supposedly" as strong, he is as strong. Or stronger. The characters stated this. Clearly. There is absoultely no reason to deny the truth of their statements. That's the whole reason why him being beaten is played up as something impressive.
No, he's not useful "in theory". EVERYONE except possibly Chiaotzu is stronger than him. He is not useful in any scenario.

Jeice being beaten up is never played as impressive. He double-teams Goku alongside Burter and they both get single-handedly demolished, and then Vegeta curbstomps him like a little bitch in his second fight, and he dies, never to be seen again. At no point is defeating Jeice even considered an accomplishment. He's just part of the Ginyu Cleanup after Goku destroys Recoome.
Goku easily defeating Recoome is treated as impressive because of how capable Recoome demonstrated himself to be against Vegeta, but Jeice and Burter just get slaughtered with no prior context to make this seem like anything other than matter-of-fact, you guys suck and die.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yes, it is. Being demolished by Goku along with Butta is about how impressive Goku got, being demolished by Vegeta is about how impressive Vegeta got.
Butta and Jheese were stated to be as strong as Recoome so that anything you see Recoome do, you know that they could do the same.

But neither is impressive because Jeice hasn't given us any reason to think he's anything but a wimp. Recoome actually gave us a solid argument for him being a very powerful and dangerous combatant, while the most Jeice and Burter have to offer is heresay and conjecture. IN THEORY they might be awesome if they weren't completely and utterly inferior to everyone else, I guess.
That's just it. Stated. Stated. They walk out there and go, "Man, I'm so awesome, I'm bigger than everyone, please stop beating the crap out of me," and then die meaninglessly. Just like Yamcha.

It's actually not an issue with GT, it's an issue with the dub of GT. Originally he just says something along the lines of "I'll fix Goku up".
Dunno why they decided to involve a first aid kit.
I mainly like that video for its ending, though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
