Aw, I'd always been under the impression that they'd dubbed at least part of the series, too. That said, the Tree of Might, Broly, Return of Cooler, and Lord Slug movie dubs got about the same reaction from me as that Cell clip, so clearly they captured what made the original Big Green so, er, special.
Okay, I generally don't bash on Yamcha as much as everyone else in the world seems to like to, but...
What the fuck? Not even going to try to save your friend? At least Pikkon and Krillin didn't go out like bitches.
Also, "anyone else" my ass. Ever notice all the top bad guys after Frieza seem to have regeneration, while none of the heroes do?
Villains with regeneration: Majin Buu, Cell.
Heroes with regeneration: Mr. Buu, Piccolo.
He used it to regenerate from being shattered into a million pieces in the Buu Saga.
It is shown to still be effective against fighters who can sense ki.

Why is it that Piccolo can regenerate after being shattered into a million pieces, but not from Nappa's mouth beam? And why is this a trait unique to him? King Piccolo couldn't regenerate after being impaled on a child, none of the Namekians could regenerate from basic things like a broken neck, Dende's body was completely intact when he died, and Nail just laid broken on the ground where Frieza left him.
Piccolo's regeneration is confusing.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.

Ah, that's a shame.
