Because "Android" isn't what Jinzoningen literally translates to and as such everyone goes all Fan Dumb over it. Also, TFS mocked the dub's usage of "Frieza" despite that being a perfectly valid romanization, even being used by some Japanese materials (just not the main ones).
She's perfectly feminine. She just resembles a man... who is just as feminine

18's probably called an android because the more accurate "gynoid" doesn't have the same bite to it, if you catch my drift.
DBA probably makes a lot of jokes around the dub because that is what everyone grew up with. I mean, a lot of Yu Gi Oh Abridged's jokes are based on the dub, so it's not exactly a new practice.
Anyway, not exactly a funny episode, but pretty good nevertheless. I do like that Goku seems to have gotten back to his "not retarded, but very ditzy" mentality from Season 1. Also, Piccolo bro is the best bro.
Android is used as a blanket term, just like mankind and what have you. The definition of android (robot) only says that its a machine built to resemble and act like a human. Technically, if she were a completely artificial being, she'd be a gynoid (which the auto-corrector doesn't recognize as a word). It really doesn't matter. As is, both terms are incorrect and she's a cyborg.

Mankind is because "man" used to be gender neutral before killing and replacing the male-only word, I believe.
Andro- has always meant male, specifically, though. Anthro- is gender neutral. Anthroid doesn't sound that bad, but android is the common term.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Not sure what it's called, but basically it's BGM Doctor Who uses all the time, setting up the joke.

If I was female, I would rather have a dragon hybrid baby.
...Only to kick it like a football because of it being Natsu.
