It was explained in Broly that Gine(Gokū and Raditz's mother) contacted Raditz between of sending Gokū to Earth and Freeza destroying the planet and informed that Gokū was sent out to space in a pod, meaning she most likely also mentioned where they exactly sent Gokū.
I assure you, I'm perfectly trustable personWe know why Raditz suddenly remembered Kakarot, they were about to attack a planet that Raditz thought 3 Saiyans might have had trouble with, but 4 could handle, and so he remembered that he had a worthless little brother who was sent to Earth shortly before Planet Vegeta went boom.
According to some material, that planet Raditz was so worried about is the same planet that Vegeta and Nappa were shown on, eating the populace. Apparently, Raditz is just a worrywart, and Vegeta and Nappa sent him off to get Kakarot so he wouldn't get in their way.
Going back to the "Buu kills Popo" post a while ago, I really can't see them doing that with their Creator's Pet, O.C. Stand-in version of Popo. Probably another good reason they didn't pull the trigger on the Buu Saga. I could be wrong though, and they were going to to use that as the "Look how strong Majin Buu is" moment.
Just Having FunOkay, O.C. Stand-in I see it, as abridging is a specific kind of fanwork, but as pointed out, Creator's Pet requires a character to be unpopular, and DBZA Popo isn't.
He looks like a racist caricature of a black person and was made by a Japanese man in the late 80's.
Not the only one, granted, but Officer Black had his appereance fixed for one of the movies when Toei and Toriyama (assume he did the new design) realized they kind of fucked up there.
Popo didn't get a new design, I assume, because he's meant to be a genie of some sort, while Officer Black is very much a human.
Anyway, Dragon Ball has a large Black fanbase, so I assume in this case it isn't a matter of people actually complaining and no one listening.
I could be wrong, though.

Basically Kaiser and @Spooky Chris R (the guy that did the models for the Shortz) experimenting with what I think is the lobby models for Fighter Z?
Burning love!

It was great seeing them react to some of the older jokes they'd forgotten about, like the kid in the Tree of Might special XD
