She met a strange man trying to talk to her (to get a reward), immediately after being chased by a dinosaur...
Paranoid.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Interesting analysis on the types of ways that things can interact with the communities surrounding them. I'm guessing the "production values that were, frankly, masturbatory" is referring to stuff like completely remaking the end of World's Strongest and re-creating music tracks like Trunks' theme and SS2 Gohan's insert song.

Setting the bar too high in quality made abridging seem inaccessible is what he was saying.
Don't need people who want to get into abridging feeling like they have to live up to DBZA.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice....I'm not really certain what he's suggesting people actually do? Like his message is community good, barriers between fans and creators bad, but I don't see much about how to work towards that. The closest to a suggestion seems to the idea that you shouldn't try to put out anything better than what your fans can make, and I'd hope that that message is unintentional
What if, instead of focusing their energies on making one really good series to the exclusion of everything else (including its own release schedule), TFS had focused its energies on creating a mentorship process to bring more creators up to their level? And a community framework where creations could be shared, after You Tube starting dropping the ball so hard in that area?
What if, instead of seeing it as their mission to "make a well-produced work," they had seen it as their mission to give as many opportunities to as many people as possible to take part in the creation of new works?

I mean, certainly there's an argument to be made for community interaction, but I dunno...not every fan necessarily wants to contribute in the way that he's describing, even if its being encouraged - many people do want to just passively enjoy the works being produced. Certainly, I enjoyed stuff like the theme remixes and the redone World's Strongest ending. Surely there must be a way to collaborate fans with fans who lack such resources while still doing cool things (although I suppose there's a difference between doing something because you want to do it and doing something because you think you have to).
Oh God! Natural light! What if, instead of seeing it as their mission to "make a well-produced work," they had seen it as their mission to give as many opportunities to as many people as possible to take part in the creation of new works?
We'd be down one very good series and have a whole lot of garbage in it's place. The community would be more active in some ways, but there'd be fewer people watching, and the overall reputation of abridged series would be lower
That's the worst outcome...but all it'd mean is that it wouldn't look and/or sound as good.
While there'd be more of roughly the same quality outside of writing.

That's literally what we were talking about...as I said, it's the only instance it happened.
People don't bring it up because the problem there is more about her being dumb in general and not just a bad parent.
Her being there at all is dumb, her bringing the baby is just toppings.
