Anyway, I'd only be surprised if this didn't make the list. It's one of the few interesting powers in Dragon Ball after all.
Yeah. Too bad Goku overcame it (though using two different methods in the anime and manga) the way he overcomes most things: More Power. I was loving how he was trying to figure out how it worked and all that, and to be fair, at first he only did that once Hit started improving more in the anime or whatever he did to force Goku to use Super Saiyan God in the manga.
...what did Hit do in the manga again? I wasn't really reading it around that time.
One Strip! One Strip! In the manga Hit didn't do anything different to force Super Saiyan God. It's just that his timeskip power was wearing Goku down, since it didn't cost Hit much stamina to use but Goku had to keep track of Hit's "tells" (his hand twitches) and predict where he'd attack next to stand a chance.
So, Goku ultimately figured out a way to deal with Hit's time skip without overpowering it, but it was too stressful for him to maintain. He used Super Saiyan God which made it easier because it reduced the effect of the timeskip.
Then Hit forced him to use Blue by revealing his full power, which would have been enough to stop SSG again.
Well, Goku did do that in the anime, too; predict what Hit was going to do. It's just that Hit was able to extend the length of his time-skip to the point where that wouldn't work. Honestly, I had a problem with the manga going "Hit can use his time-skip with minimal stamina loss, unless he's at full power, at which point he can only use it one time before completely burning himself out".
Lets take it easy and agree that both the anime and manga are bad in their own way without worrying which is worse.
The worst of both words friends.
Wait, how exactly?
One Strip! One Strip! What's the problem with that? It seems to me that it serves two purposes: an explanation of why he was refraining from using so much power, and secondly to show just how big a deal that kind of power is. It was also established that it was a downside of him not being used to fighting at full power, so he improves upon that area by the time of the TOP. I really like seeing him obviously improve like that.

Reduced the effect because SSG was too powerful to be fully affected by Hit's abilities. So Goku was able to move sooner.

I just find it annoying that when other people compare the Super manga to the anime, it just goes like a normal conversation, but when I chime in, inevitably someone feels the need to call me out for having a bias, or whatever.
Honestly, it's weird, the opinion that the manga is inferior is not uncommon, in fact I'd say it seems to be the majority opinion on the wider internet, it's just here that I've been pigeonholed as "that weird guy who hates the Super manga", and I hate it.

I see. Him not being used to full power and needing to adapt is interesting (though the anime shortened it).
But in the manga version, he just decided to use Time Skip less and train like everyone else, which kinda eliminates what made him interesting.
I don't mind him improving his fighting, but don't throw out what gave you your edge either.
Also, I'm not sure how being more powerful suddenly makes the time skip less effective on Goku, but God power is tricky so...
Edit:
Not to do exactly what you think everyone is doing but....is it really common opinion that the manga is inferior? I admit I don't know the overall impression.

One Strip! One Strip!I know it's more common on Youtube, Twitter, and Reddit to see it as inferior, and those are some of the biggest platforms on the internet. I don't even dislike it that much, I think the current arc is easily the best the Super manga has ever been, I just think it really mishandled the three Super arcs that were covered in the manga (and Toyotaro being a rank amateur as an artist really didn't help).
Not too sure on Twitter, but we've all said and agreed that youtube (namely the comments) are a cesspool of villainy as the late great Alec Guiness once said.
I know ever less about Reddit and how trustworthy it is.
Then again, those guys likely say the same about us, so maybe we shouldn't judge....in public.
Lets judge the hell out of them in private.
One Strip! One Strip!I thought we were getting pretty well known actually. Like hasn't there been a few places that make reference to us?
I guess maybe Toon Zone (is that place still around) is better known? Or was? I haven't been there since this place ruined my life.
One Strip! One Strip!tvtropes as a site that lists tropes is well-known enough, yeah. The community of the forums, on the other hand ? PMC's right, this is your average no-name discord server/internet forum in terms of activity. Well, obvioulsy bigger than that because of the sheer number of topics to discuss, but for any given subject that isn't something like Politics which is extemely active, that's still the same order of magnitude than your average fan forum compared to monoliths like reddit/twitter/youtube, where recognizing a username that yo'uve seen before is an exception, not the rule.
Pretty much why I stick around, for that matter. I don't tend to stay within communities that are so active you can't even follow what's going on.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."TV Tropes, twitter, reddit and youtube combined are still a tiny sample size of the overall fanbase. I don't think I'd use that
That, and I would think a majority of viewers just aren't interested in the manga (animation generally has more of an outreach than comics) than actually having an issue with it.
That said -
If there is a consensus that the manga is inferior here, and yet others still disagree with your stance, wouldn't that be a sign that the issue is your discourse rather than with your opinion?
Yeah, I know the feeling. I started using reddit just because it has communities for everything, but I hardly recognize people there (lack of avatars doesn't help) and there's so much activity that keeping up can be too much, especially as I become more busy with work. I can barely keep up with TVT's level of activity these days, but hopefully that will change once I from my current role (14 hour working days suck i tell ya).
But in the manga version, he just decided to use Time Skip less and train like everyone else, which kinda eliminates what made him interesting.

It's not that he tried to use time skip less, he wanted to rely on it less - to not be a one trick pony. The reason he couldn't handle his full power for very long is because his time skip had been enough to handle his previous battles, causing him to become rusty.
Against Jiren it's just because Jiren can easily counter his time skip that he isn't using it.
As for it being less effective on God Goku (and Jiren) that's because the manga explains Hit's time-skip is one of those powers that is less effective on stronger opponents.

Yeah. I think it's time to move on.
....I've mentioned this before, but I totally want the dude who murdered Jiren's family to be an angel who kicks his ass while asleep.
Like, literally sleeping and snoring and still utterly flattening Jiren.
But yeah, the idea of an angel from one of the destroyed universes being behind the death of Jiren's family and then his master and friends is something I like especially with what's being set up in the mange with Merus. We still don't know what happened to the angels of those worlds, but we know they don't get erased.
There's a good idea there I think.
Plus fuck Jiren, so seeing him get Wtfpwned by someone who's literally not even trying would be great.
One Strip! One Strip!Except that the manga and anime have different backstories for Jiren (in the manga, it's demons that killed his master) so what the manga is doing right now obviously isn't going to tie into that.
The fact that the backstories are different between versions tells me it's probably not going to be factored into anything major.
I just want him to still be way too weak to fight the dude who killed his family despite being stronger than a god of Destruction.
I think it would be funny.
One Strip! One Strip!

I don't think Hit is his actual name, it's just a moniker he has, being the universe's greatest hitman and all.
