This is most certainly the reason they got this dude to do the animation.

Yes!
I want to see 17 and Krillin awkwardly trying to hang out.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. Also, while this one takes place after the Cell Saga, same place we left off, they don’t have the obligation to follow the flow of plot like in Abridged. They can make shorts that take place way back in the Saiyan or Freeza arcs, or take place as far off as Super, without screwing up their time frame.
I don't remember him having more than 2 dialogue interchanges with Broli...
Neither of which were filled with much feeling...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Y'know, this Dragon Short made me realize something.
Nappa still has his tail. Nothing ever happened to remove it. He is now the only living Saiyan in the Abridged Verse that can become the mighty Oozaru.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. It's not that mighty anymore, but it's neat that he's the only one who can still do it. Everyone else traded in the Oozaru for Super Saiyan.
Though I do wonder. If Nappa spent five minutes punching the Plot Bag to unlock Super Saiyan, it would open back up the question of "What happens if you go Super Saiyan and Oozaru simultaneously?" Literally the only Dragon Ball media that's ever actually addressed the Golden Oozaru concept was GT, of all things.
Like. Depending on how the multipliers stack, Super Monkey could either be weaker than Super Duper Saiyan (60x v. 100x) or stronger than Super Dee Duper Saiyan (500x v. 400x).
The Shortz are slice of life so we aren't going to get an answer to that but it's fun to think about.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Speaking of, do we know what the multiplier for the Oozaru-but-not-really form Neo-Broly has is?
Because it seems way bigger than the usual 10x the normal Oozaru form has.
BTW, until such a time comes when the series offers a different explanation, I choose to believe that the green Super Saiyajin Neo-Broly and Kale have is just regular Super Saiyajin mixed with the Oozaru power.
Nappa still having his tail is enough for me.
I really hate that Toriyama went on some kind of tirade against tails, taking them off every single Saiyan whenever he got the chance.
Tails are Saiyan's distinctive and set them apart, and him getting rid of them has become annoying to me, even if it's a minor thing.
One Strip! One Strip! It was probably because they were a pain to draw and became too superfluous to justify their continued presence.
It was there when Goku was very wild and his fighting style including oddball moves like standing on his tail, and the Sun Wukong references like being disabled when it’s grabbed were still a relative staple of the series.
The Saiyan Saga, where Goku fights enemies that are essentially stronger versions of him, is those aspects’ last hurrah. Once he realized those traits wouldn’t be a thing any more past that point, out the window the tails went.
Well the disabling aspect was referenced in the Broli movie, so they'll always remember.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The Broly movie was also the first time being a Saiyan had any significance beyond Super-Saiyan reasons since the Saiyan-Namek arc.
Plus the animation there was kind of next level, rendering the “don’t want to draw these” issue kind of diminished.

Exactly. He’s still getting rid of tails even though he’s not even drawing much of the series himself anymore.
There’s still so much to explore about Oozaru and how it interacts with Super Saiyan, but his tail hate prevents him from trying to the point that he’s still getting rid of it.
One Strip! One Strip!Tail dislike?
Getting rid of the tail was a good thing, it means no death.

...wait, why the hell did Toriyama taught a dinosaur how to ride a ball?
Bardock: Father of Kakarrot is canon.
Episode of Bardock isn't canon.
"Wait...Bardock isn't canon?"
Why people gotta be like this sometimes?

No, fair enough. I realized that as I was posting, but I was too lazy to go and edit. =p
