This conversation has got me thinking, and I now really want Bojack and his crew to keep and have stereotypical pirate accents. Bojack can totally pull off being a legit threat with "Yarr!", they just need to lean into the whole 'pirate' idea even harder. The Pirates of the Caribbean movies should provide some inspiration.
I feel like TFS could actually make Bojack and his crew into serious pirate villains if they just flood their dialogue with a shit-ton of pirate lingo,
just like how Android 13 used rural and western sayings a lot.
I'm just imagining Bojack saying "Keelhaul these landlubbers and send them to Davy Jones' locker!" as a pre-battle order, and if the vocal direction is right, that could be both funny and intimidating at the same time.
Always though Cooler 2 to be one of their funniest movies.
x2 "Wacky but threatning" is a Dragon Ball staple.
Hence, I imagine, so meny people hating Jiren.
If Super was more self-aware, Jiren would probably be a parody of an arc villain, and maybe is some of that even now with how the rest of his squad are just glorified cheerleaders. Unfortunately, him being teh stronkest is the entire point of his character. He's not a person, but an obstacle, an event for Goku to overcome so he can be teh stronkest now.
So yeah, Sasuke might not be a good character, but he's a character nonetheless.

Well, a lot of people say Manga Jiren is better in that he at least has more characterization. It is true we see a bit more of why he's a hero there, but only a little.
The manga makes him far less antagonistic as well.
One Strip! One Strip! Why have him be like Sasuke-kun?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.
