[up][up]

You made a mistake with the link, but I'm gonna take a guess and assume it's the I wanna be a Super Saiyan! clip.

It just makes sense.

Eh, screw it, can't fix it.For both Vegeta and whatever caused this.

Edit: I figured out why, so fixed.

I kinda still think Bakugou is more of a little shit.

Telling a cripple to kill himself is a hard Establishing Character Moment to get over.

I dunno, Bakugou is still a teenager so he might become a really big shit one day, Vegeta meanwhile will always be a midget, so he has a bigger claim to the "little shit" title.

Calling Deku a cripple is a tad questionable.

Well, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. It was an appropriate clip I'll say.

Telling a cripple to kill himself is a hard Establishing Character Moment to get over.

In contrast to Vegeta actually doing it?

@Saiga: Perharps, but that is, in essence, the imagery the scene is trying to invoke.

[up][up] An amusing sentence considering hands a major sign of symbolism in MHA.

Vegeta loves his hands.

I don't think this episode had the frenetic pace the other Kai abridged episodes had.

But seriously, if we're talking about "little shit" as in a visceral feeling the character invokes for people, as opposed to who is objectively worse, I still have to go with Bakugo.

But if we're talking any reasonable scale of morality, Vegeta is worse than Bakugo by hundreds of times over.

Not Saiga but I don't think that's actually true. "Quirkless" equals "disabled" is a thing a lot of people come up with, but considering how the series treats Quirks and daily life, any invocation of that seems accidental at best.

I believe Saiga was making a reference to the darkly hilarious Llamas with Hats.

I still fundamentally disagree with Kaiser on the Faulconer soundtrack. Seeing Vegeta get the shit beaten out of him was extremely satisfying.

I think both the original JP and Faulconer soundtracks are good, but in their own way; JP is better background music while Faulconer is more enjoyable as individual tracks.

I am a fan of the Bruce Falcon Punch tracks, and not just because of nostalgia. In fact, some of my favorites are tracks that I did not hear growing up (Perfect Cell), or came from characters or arcs I didn't like growing up (Super Buu, Gohan's Anger).

Android 18 didn't say much this abridged episode, but that bit with her, 17, and Krillin was funny.

Only tracks I can actually recall from the Bruce Falconer soundtrack are Vegeta's them, which is played a lot, Perfect Cell's theme, which actually speeds up or slows down depending on the action, and the Final Flash theme, which may only be used once?

The Faulconer soundtrack had the best transformation music I'e ever heard in Dragon Ball Z, and one of the best I've heard in any anime.

That alone would win it over for me, but there's plenty of other greatness in it. That's not to say I think the JP soundtrack is lesser, far from it.

#35200: Jul 4th 2019 at 9:54:07 AM

I definitely wouldn't say the Faulconer music was bad, but I think it was used badly a lot of the time. There was never really a moment to breath, because they insisted on having some piece of music going basically every second.

That's not on the music though, it's probably because they figured they had to do that to keep kids interested, especially when fighting wasn't happening. I still do enjoy listening to a lot of the tracks, though, and honestly don't think nostalgia has much to do with that.
