I did not know they were younger in the original. Goddammit Toei.
At least Yamucha retired and is just a goof.
Kriller is the best friend, it makes sense he's still around.
Ten is a stoic.
Chaozu is just Ten's +1 (which makes 11).
If their character can't contribute even when not fighting, they serve no purpose.
At the end of the day, I feel like this is the problem with Tenshinhan. He doesn't particularly like anyone but Chiaotzu, he doesn't want to socialize, he straight up tells them all to f*ck off at the end of the Cell Games, etc. He has no job or aspirations or goals. If they aren't fighting a dude, then he has better things to do, and those things are training.
Tenshinhan is basically Goku as a supporting character. He's who Goku would be if Goku wasn't the Magnetic Hero, pulling in satellite characters to bounce off of despite not making any real efforts to be a part of anyone else's life. He's who Goku would be if Goku wasn't the shonen hero, getting plot-relevant power-ups to always stay at the head of the power curve. He's who Goku would be if Goku wasn't the main protagonist, always having an in-road with the plot by virtue of the story literally being about him.
Tenshinhan is the Goku around whom the universe does not revolve, and who therefore comes off looking a lot worse for it.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Her name is ブラ, which is transliterated as 'bu.ra'. The 'u' is like the English 'oo', but shorter. The 'r' is nothing like the common English 'r', being more like the Spanish 'r' or an 'l'. The 'a' is an 'ah' or like the 'a' in 'hat' for many accents (most importantly, it is not an 'ey', the way English says the vowel alone).
In summary, "Bull-la" pronunciation is the most correct. 'Byoo-la' is just a common anglophone thing of inserting diphtongues where there were none (kinda like "ka-mey-ha-mey-ha"). You can also just say 'Bra' as ブラ is literally just that word in Japanese. I think of her family Bulma's name is the only one that is not directly a word for underwear (the Japanese word for bloomer is slightly different).
So, a thing I realized is that.
In Jaco the Galactic Patrolman the manga, Omori meets Tights and says her name sounds like she's from the West District.
When Goku gets to West City and asks a cop around, there's three different Bulmas in West City including our Bulma.
Ranfan comes from a word for lingerie, and according to a guidebook Ranfan has a husband named Trunks.
It's not just Bulma's family. Everyone in the West District is named after underwear.
Only 2 of those things are true.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. In the Epilogue breakdown, Kaiser mentions a few things that got cut. Instead of 17 calling Gohan "Goku Jr." They considered "Goten", and "Yamcha." Also the part where Cell asks the audience what to do, he wanted to have kids respond with Kamehameha. He nearly went to twitter and asked anyone who had kids to record them saying Kamehameha.
Edit: Whew. Forgot how violent that link is. Don't watch at work.

One Strip! One Strip! So I was watching The Orville and in the most recent episode the security officer went back home for medical leave. She's from a high gravity planet. Anyway, we meet her parents and her older sister. Said sister mentions that she's engaged. The name of her new fiancee? Turles.
Bojack Horseman? What is this, a crossover episode?
The powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.I think they just put that there for the cute visual pun. Lani doesn't talk about Bojack in the video, and the character of Bojack has been a part of Dragon Ball Abridged since the Saiyan arc. The space pirate trapped inside Kaio's planet is a longstanding running joke.
"Shut up, Gregory. Shut up, Bubbles. SHUT UP, BOJACK!"
As a consequence of all the groundwork TFS likes to lay for their movie villains, Bojack already has a pretty defined personality. This upcoming movie will simply be the first time we get to see him in action.

How are you supposed to pronounce Bulla? Because I'm pretty sure it was Byoo-la in the original DBZ dub, but in Super they call her Bull-la.
