No. Keep the final blast.
Because you’re right; it was already over. That’s why it works. Freeza refuses to understand that he’s lost: it’s over. Goku won. We’re all sick of Namek so let’s go home. That’s why Goku is so pissed. He’s just trying to get to getting and Lizard Man is all like Nuh uh! We ain’t done till I says so.
Goku’s reaction is all of our reactions: YOU FOOL!!
One Strip! One Strip! The fights anti-climactic end is actually it’s charming point.
You expect it to end in this big epic slug-match as the planet deteriorates around them but it doesn’t. Instead Goku just becomes fed up with the whole thing & straight up leaves leaving Frieza a metaphorical gunshot to his pride & ego.
The whole thing wears Goku down to the point he doesn’t even care anymore. Frieza is beneath him & he wants to go back home.
It all becomes completely flaccid.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The fact he pitied Freeza in his final moments says a lot.
But yea, the first fight with Vegeta is the fucking bomb; it really is the only fight that feels like the heroes are pulling out all of their stops and only barely manage to survive. And that's the kicker of that fight, its not that Goku and Co. won, so much as they survived and that really should say a lot on how tough of a fight Vegeta was.
Figures the best fight on the list in the one that defines the series` two most major characters.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Heh. I never noticed how in the lead up to the fight, Vegeta is constantly shown higher up than Goku.
That really does act as a subtle clue to him being above everyone...and of course, is very ironic, when you consider his actual height.
And as they said, it's a nice contrast to how...far he fall by the end. Even the stuff about how being forced to fight an Oozaru is a complete cultural gut punch to him, with the former destroyer being used against him as a saviour.
It's quite an interesting look at the fight.
One Strip! One Strip!I think it's funny how Vegeta says "the form disgusts me" before he goes Oozaru.
Like.
"Time to stop worrying about being pretty" he says, like he's not a midget with a widow's peak to start with.
The fact that Vegeta hates the Oozaru form because it's ugly makes no sense culturally, but is also a reason he and Bulma are perfect for each other.
Vain shithead.

Nope.
◊ Though the way he phrases it sounds almost sarcastic.

Vegeta wasn't "forced" to use Oozaru; Kaio-Ken x2 was Goku's highest sustainable power, and Vegeta was slowly but surely beating him at that level; at x3 Goku had gassed himself out severely after only a few blows. After his Kamehameha, he was so weakened that Kaio said he had "no power left" and Yajirobe (power level below 1,000) could hurt him badly with a light pat on the back. Meanwhile Vegeta, even after further injuries, could push a fresh Gohan's shit in even when he was mad (likely above the 2,800 that he was at 2,800 earlier when enraged, and he should have got a zenkai). Had he just chosen to attack Goku in his regular form right there, he would have easily won.
But he screwed himself. He was so blinded by his rage that he HAD to go overkill out of spite. And this is what allowed Gohan to assume the same form and finally defeat him.

Vegeta and Frieza both have the problem of not being able to sense ki, and therefore having to eyeball the strength of their opponent. Vegeta legit has no idea how strong Goku is. He just knows Goku's hiding some of his power.
For all he knows, that x4 Kamehameha might just be what happens when Goku stops holding back, rather than a desperation move that wrecked his body. That intense power that defeated his Galick Gun could be normal for Goku. He has no idea! He can't sense energy!
Consequentially, both Vegeta and Frieza have this thing where as soon as their opponent outperforms expectations, they power up to the next level of curbstomp even though they were still insurmountable. Because they don't know how much stronger they are than the other guy. They just know he's actually getting some hits in, and they are not okay with that.
When no one should even be able to touch you, getting decked in the face is freaky.

Thing is for Vegeta it's not even an excuse coz casually looking at Goku would make it obvious Goku doesn't have much more left in him and in fact is worse off following the beam struggle than the guy who lost said struggle. Remember that Goku is twitching and in pain from just Yajirobe touching him. Not sending ki is in no way an issue for Vegeta in this - he's simply too pissed to even check on his opponent.
Vegeta doesn't do what he does out of the belief his opponent has many more such attacks in him but just from being so pissed he's gotten injured at all.
Goku is able to fight back, kind of, against Oozaru Vegeta, so I don't think he was completely wiped out yet. I think it's fair to say that if Vegeta hadn't gone Oozaru, he would have eventually defeated Goku, but I also think Goku could've pulled off 2 or 3 more uses of Kaioken x3 before his body completely crapped out.
I think his pain at Yajirobe slapping him on the back was more because his whole body was sore and tender, not really that Yajibobe's casual back-slap carried any kind of power with it.
That would require Veggie to have "seen" it...before he transformed.
Which the pope says he didn't, because he transformed immediately after losing the beam struggle.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

The fight already had a definitive ending some ways back. This was literally the second time Goku quit the fight because Frieza was now so totally harmless that it wasn't even worth fighting him anymore.
The fight ends with a fizzle instead of a bang. "YOU FOOL" does nothing to change that.
