Lots of time shenanigans and potential time loops created.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaSo since TFS has there thing, what's all of your favorite fight(s)?
Goku, Piccolo, and Krillin vs. Garlic Jr's henchmen in Dead Zone.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeaaaaahhh here's the good stuff.
I was about to say this one was my favorite fight, so that works out. I also really like most of the Frieza fight besides the "Planet explodes in five minutes" filler shit.
It's been 3000 years…Are 17 and 18 teenagers? They look young, but that young?
[insert joke about them being 17 and 18 years old]
I don't know, i have always have the belief that they are in their mid-twenties. Considering how other teenagers looked in Dragon Ball, they look way too old to be that age. And i don't mean compared to Goku and Krillin, Bulma didn't look that old at 18.
Uni catAnother fight I never really cared about. Except for the Hellzone Grenade. That move rocks.
Yup. And then, it fucking disappears.
Good choice here. And yeah, it's funny how some of the best fights almost always had Goku in them. There are very few fights that don't involve him that don't turn out to be curb stomp battles in order to hype someone else up...or so I say, but I know that people will suddenly start mentioning a million fights that I've forgotten about (and I admit I forget a lot about this series).
Then again, even this fight kinda acts as hype for Cell. 17 and Piccolo beat the shit out of each other to show that Cell is a bigger threat cause he's stronger than both even if Piccolo hadn't worn himself out.
I still like this for being a more equal battle. And again, one that doesn't involve Goku. I almost wish the fact that it was irrelevant (since there was no way Cell wouldn't become perfect) wasn't made clear so quickly.

One Strip! One Strip!"Aww, it even has a cool name..."
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Speak of the devil. We were just talking about this one.
Also, I don't think we have an official answer for 17 and 18's ages but I would very much prefer for them to be in their 20's. It'd be super-creepy for 31-year-old Krillin to be macking on an underage 18.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I think I remember reading a thing in a guidebook or interview somewhere where she's actually older than Krillin but spent a lot of that time in stasis/not aging because of android reasons.
I think we can agree that time spent as a popsicle doesn't really count.

I think their official backstory is that they were delinquent teenagers before Dr. Gero kidnapped them and subjected them to his experiments.
We can, but Japanese cultural values might not. Japan really likes finding ways to hit on underage gals under the pretense of "TOTES not creepy 'cause REASONS". I recently rented a PS4 visual novel that gave me a glossary entry explaining "Legal Loli" at the introduction of its first female character, earning it a hard "NOPE" and quite possibly setting a record for how quickly I returned a game.
So. Ew. Krillin/18 might be ruined for me forever now. @.@

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.But Krillin has always looked like a kid.
So it kind of evens out?
Uni catamen
Awkward zombie has a great comic about this
Fair warning, it has a skimpy child-looling character as part of the joke
I know that comic (seen it before) so I don't need to click the link.
Oh Nowi. Everything about you is wrong. Especially the fact that you can be a mom.
It doesn't help that I once heard that her existence was predicated by the game makers thinking that's what the west wanted.
Never confirmed if that one was true though.
But we ain't here to talk about that shit. I'm also going to assume 17 and 18 are adults. Lets believe they are at least in their 20s.
One Strip! One Strip! It always bugs me that in subsequent use in the franchise the original intent of the Hellzone Grenade as a distraction, followed by a trap, is lost. That’s what makes that move for me: it at first looks like yet another More Dakka rush like Vegeta has made us love by that point. But then we and 17 notice hat most of aren’t hitting. And then that 17 has no room to move any more. Boom. It and the Warp Kamehame are standout examples of mixing strategy with ki and defying audience expectation.
The video games dropping that entirely gets a pass, I guess, due to that intention being admittedly difficult to balance (though imo they could put more effort, it’s at least work noting that that Fighter Z tried something similar with Beerus and failed miserably), but Super dropping it has no excuse. Not that Super’s overuse of classic moves wihout any of their substance is at all limited to Piccolo.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain."That was a cool thing from the show. Let's just throw it into Super without any f*cks given for how to use it properly."
Or. In other words. Toei's gonna Toei.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That applies to technique usage and characterization!
I dunno, I can only think of two instances of Piccolo using the Hellzone Grenade in Super. The first was exactly like it was in the original, as a distraction, then a trap. The second was as a Worf Barrage.
TFS mentions the Hellzone Grenade was never seen again, but that's actually not the case. Vegeta uses it against Buuhan while he's throwing a hissy fit about Goku hiding Super Saiyan 3 from him. Complete with Buuhan using a shield to block it. Honestly it's hilariously fitting for Vegeta to take the cool variant of Beam Spamming and make it his own.
Xenoverse cared about the plot at one point?
I was pretty sure the plot of Xenoverse was "Something something bullshit something something participate in cool iconic battles something something What If scenarios. Does anyone really f*cking care who these villains are?"
This, incidentally, is also the plot of Xenoverse 2.
