Huh, Buu does have a lot of potentially broken applications doesn't he?
But I'm not sure why that's why they'd leave him out, the writers have made it clear they're fine just making the characters uncharacteristically stupid, and they wouldn't even have to exaggerate much for that to work with Buu of all characters.
We all know Jiren would just blink and counter it.
We all also know that what I just said isn't actually a joke either.
That's kinda the thing with Buu: he either is removed so he doesn't immediately win the fight, goes up against someone who can counter his two best abilities, or as shown with Basil he stomps.
One Strip! One Strip! To be fair, it's not so much they got sidelined or nerf as much as they just got so overshadowed back when Cell showed up that they'd be beaten before the enemy could ever hope to get tired enough for their infinite energy to matter.
That's what happens when all your abilities are based on one single stat.
One Strip! One Strip!Buu would only be as useful as the writers want him to be. If they want to have Jiren keep fighting as a coffee candy, he'd do so the same way he overcame Hit's time stop through sheer power.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's an interesting question. If Buu played the TOP like that old flash game with the fish, and absorbed everyone in the tournament (minus Universe 7) piece by piece: eating smaller fish to get bigger than the ones stronger than him, and then eating them to get stronger still, could he have eventually taken Jiren?
It's Jiren, I imagine he could have just chosen to not be absorbed. Like Vegetto, and then he'd punch his way out. Because yes, I'm willing to bet microbe-sized Jiren could still kick Majin Boo's ass.
My various fanfics.Jiren powers up like 6 times throughout the tournament. There's his power in Round 1 against Goku, when he's wrecking SSB KKx20, then he visibly powers up a little mid-way through pushing the Spirit Bomb to counter Goku pushing it. I can't remember if it's the first or second point, but here is where Whis compares his power to that of a God of Destruction. He then powers up a third time to KO UIO Goku, shown with him having an aura for the first time.
Jiren starts off Round 2 weaker than at the start of Round 1, according to Vegeta. After Vegeta and Goku do well against him in SSB, he powers up the closest to his full power that the gods have ever seen. After Toppo is eliminated, Jiren powers up to full power and gets like three stacked auras around himself. After Goku kicks his ass in UI, Jiren breaks his own limits and powers up even more.
Basically, Jiren powers up a significant amount 6 times in the Tournament of Power, and it's his first or second level of power that Whis compares to that of a God of Destruction.

You'd think so, but Kakarot is always weaker than Goku.
It might still be feasible- With enough training, Kakarot might be able become stronger than Beerus is currently- but of course the moment he went back to calling himself Goku he'd shoot up in power and Beerus would become even stronger than that.

That's not what he do though...
I mean, he doesn't exactly fight much anymore...so it can be anything.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So he's essentially Saitama, but specifically to Goku then?
That seems unfair.
Edit: Though realistically, I'd apply the always stronger than Goku power level to Whis instead.

One Strip! One Strip! That is true.
Finding new challenges seems to be all Goku lives for.
Lord knows he doesn't live for his family or friends. They are important, but everything else is pretty much #2 to his desire for better and better fights.
Hell, Saitama would probably be a great friend to Goku, because if you really take his abilities literally, Goku would always to working to surpass him. It'd be the ultimate lifetime goal.
One Strip! One Strip!

Also true. Like. All this stuff about Ultra Instinct and whatnot? Doesn't matter. Majin Buu (Jiren Absorbed) wipes the field effortlessly.
