Speaking of Super Saiyans, I was browsing the Dragon Ball wiki and saw something about S-cells
.
Apparently a Saiyan with a pure heart has a higher concentration of those S-cells, and the concentration of S-cells in a Saiyans body goes up as that Saiyan's power level increases, and the higher the concentration of S-cells the easier it is to attain the Super Saiyan transformation the first time.
None of which makes any sense in biology, but.
A happy ending?
How can you get happier than him beating both the androids and Cell?

Well, clearly Toriyama didn't excel (no pun intended) at Biology.
Because Super! THAT'S FUCKING WHY!

One Strip! One Strip! Why would they reference that?

Yeah, but that was in a movie and in context of the present.
They could do that, but nothing about what happened to Future Trunks in Super can be referenced and make sense.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. They gave Android 16 a happy ending, even if a bit bittersweet. I can see them giving Trunks a happy end too, besides that the epilogue doesn't seem to be too long when you consider that it only has Trunks killing the androids and Cell.
That, and they have no plans for Super, yet. They could maybe have Zamasu bite it before anything bad happens.

At best, it was an Esoteric Happy Ending

Uni catOver on youtube I'm subscribed to TeamFourStar. Thing is, a few days ago, as far as my settings are concerned, the channel has no name when it appears on the left hand side bar. There's an icon, but next to it there's no name. And it's only like this on the left hand bar, the actual channel is fine. Is this a problem for anyone else or just me?

The reason Cell was initially a failure and took 17 years to finalize was because the computer, after exhausting every possible interpretation of Dr. Gero's original schematics, finally realized that Gero didn't know a goddamn thing about biology and auto-corrected "cells" to "DNA".
Dr. Gero is certainly an eccentric fellow. Quirky Android designs, calling Cyborg "Androids" because he wanted to be consistent and had numerous secret projects waiting to be developed by his supercomputer. It's a marvel that machine hasn't broken after all the stupid shit Gero made it do.
And i wouldn't be surprised that in a future arc, the good Doctor Gero has another secret project that he somehow hid in another lab. I would say Android 21, but that's not canon (yet)

Uni catI mean, Android 21 actually makes more sense with "cells" instead of "DNA", because if I'm interpreting the plot correctly based on the English localization, she wasn't made from scratch by gene manipulation, but instead by adding cells to a prexisting human body.
In that light, Cell's bullshit starts to seem like a proof of concept or a prototype. An experiment or test case. "If I can make all these cells from different sources work together I can then from there combine cells with my dead waifu to fix her".
EDIT: Also, either Gero's a cradle robber, his wife died young, (possibly in childbirth, assuming 16 was a lifesize model of their son then goddamn that baby was jacked) or there's a parallel between Gero and Abridged!Dr. Brief.

Well Gero doesn't make a lot of sense (the only reason he still looks like an old man when he could have given himself a younger body is because shut up! That's why!), So I'm not gonna get stuck on the logistics of why him and 21 and 16 have the physical appearances they do.
One Strip! One Strip! He spent more time trying to patch out the T.H. software for Android 13 that he didn't care to give himself a younger body.
Also, Evil Old Folks
Uni cat
...
I admit, I never considered that. I mean, I'm mostly working on a meta reasoning, but in universe, Gero being fine with his old looks isn't out of the question.
And 21 wasn't created by Toriyama (though he drew up her design), so the difference in age might just be...due to that thing where female characters (barring Chi-Chi and Bulma) just aren't allowed to actually age.
One Strip! One Strip!Bulma looks younger in Super than she did in the Buu Saga.
Also, I'm curious, did Arcsys actually come up with Android 21 on their own?
Because the stuff about 16 being based on Gero's son was from Toriyama stuff years ago.
I find it weird to imagine the game developers deciding to take that information and then push it further and adding 16's mom without, I dunno, saying something.

I didnt say it made any sense. I'm saying it's what every bit of information about Cell says constantly and consistently.
Even if we take FighterZ as a valid source of info, "fused cells" is still a different thing from gene splicing and LEGO Genetics.
If anything it reminds me of mitochondria. And how mitochondria have their own DNA separate from the rest of the cell.
I think what it might be is that Cell's cells are almost a sort of. "Super-cell". With the cells of his components inside.
No fucking clue how that works, but it's the only explanation that comes to mind that's consistent with the other descriptions.
Or, maybe his cells are a redundant cancerous mess, with separate nuclei from all of his donors, each of which is coding RNA and then proteins for their own organelles in the same cell.
