You know what? You don't even have to take the Daizenshuu's word for it. Let's calculate it ourselves.
Gohan is 4 when we first see him. One year (roughly) passes between that and Vegeta, making him 5. He remains 5 all throughout the Freeza Saga. Nearly a year passes between Namek exploding and the Namekian's going to New Namek meaning he's about 6. A further year passes between that and Goku returning to Earth making him 7. Three years pass between that and the meat of the Android Saga making him 10. A year spent in the HTC makes him 11.
QED.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! This is the problem with that line of logic. We're not given exact dates/years in the manga, without knowing Gohan's birth month we can't be sure.
He's at least nine in the manga without factoring in the HCT, which is what most people do. That would mean at the Boo arc he's legally 16-17 which fits High School better.
I didn't realize you were factoring the HCT year into saying he was 11, so yeah, scratch my comment about him starting high school at 18 because the school wouldn't know that.

It didn't last long enough for his sadism to really get me.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I really hope TFS keeps Super Duper Saiyan as their official name for Super Saiyan 2, and Goku showing off the forms to Buu goes like this:
Goku: "What you're seeing now is my base power, untransformed."
*Goku transforms*
Goku: "This is a Super Saiyan. And this-"
*Goku transforms again*
Goku: "-is a power beyond that of a Super Saiyan. We call this Super Duper Saiyan."
Goku: "And this, is to go, even further beyond!"
*Goku screams for an absurdly long time and transforms*
Goku: "Sorry that took so long, I haven't practiced this one much. I call this Super Dee Duper Saiyan."
@Saiga: Are you actually ignoring the Daizenshuu? This seems like a first. Regardless, even ignoring the Daizenshuu, it takes 260 days before the Namekians go away (nearly nine months) and you if factor in things like the month-long journey to Namek, the 10 days between the Vegeta battle and them leaving for Namek, and the 6 days they were actually on Namek; you get an extra 46 days you can add to Gohan's age. While an extra month-and-a-half isn't much, it's enough to push that "nearly nine months" to a bit over ten months making it more than likely that Gohan was 6.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Which further highlights just how unusually powerful this set of characters is, since he can fuse in his base form. This doesn't just mean no one could keep up with Super Saiyan 3 Goku. It means none of these dead martial artists could match his base strength.
Which makes sense. Goku had a battle power of 3 million in base when he fought Frieza and that's only kept on rising. Meanwhile, the second-most powerful warrior in the universe next to Frieza was only 120,000. The Saiyans and Piccolo at this point are beyond the reasonable limitations of mortal beings to a rather absurd degree.
It's not unreasonable that the afterlife doesn't have a lot of guys who can challenge a dude that no one in the living universe can hope to match.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It doesnt mean that they were all lower than his base strength either, Pikkon in the anime was clearly way above that - but Goku couldn't fuse with him in base or even Super Saiyan; he needed the extremely dangerous Super Saiyan Kaioken to beat him and that's not a form that would be condusive to fusion.
So most of them were waaay too weak but pikkon was waaaay too strong.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Doesn't Trunks have to suppress his power level slightly to fuse with Goten?
I mean, it's mentioned that Goten and Trunks can fuse because they're so close in power level to begin with, but I thought Trunks still had to handicap himself slightly to get that last bit over the edge. Or under the edge.
Also, maybe there's stronger dead people that didn't keep their bodies.
So most of them were waaay too weak but pikkon was waaaay too strong.
By the time Goku's saying that nobody is on-par with him, he's achieved Super Saiyan 3. He'd have been able to fuse with Pikkon if Pikkon existed in the manga.
Since the Kaioken is a x2 multiplier, Super Kaioken (x2 Super Saiyan) would have been equal in power to Super Saiyan 2. Which, by the time Goku was saying this, he was also capable of reaching.
Since Super Saiyan 2 Goku is roughly equal in strength to Pikkon and Goku is saying that nobody is on-par to fuse with, it's unlikely that he's thinking of Pikkon being too strong.

He does. Trunks is a bit stronger than Goten.
One thing people forget about the Fusion Dance is that you not only have to be of similar power but also height. For all we know, there's someone in the afterlife who's way stronger than even Beerus but they're about the size of a mouse so fusing with them wasn't an option.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I don't think there's enough material there for a special. Interesting.
And here I thought it was just me.
