Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Probably Geets making fun of him for getting killed, and then having a What Is This Feeling? moment on why he's so pissed off about it.
"Haha, loser now you know how it feels hahahahaha...wait, why am I so pissed off about him getting killed, this supposed to be hilarious..."
Actually, in some black comedic way, Trunks died the same way Vegeta did. Death Beam through the chest.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does....it just hit me that "Vegeta junior junior" was a call back to Nappa naming a Saibaman "Vegeta Junior". And now it makes sense why that one just happened to be talking like Nappa.
It's been so long that my first thought that it was a reference to the exact same thing that the Nappa joke itself was a reference to.

I have a message from another time...I could have done with a few more jokes but I appreciated the ones we got. They honestly shouldn't have gone for the preview because Gohan successfully dodging is one of the best ones and we kinda got spoiled for that one.
(I appreciated the "cake means keikaku" joke though).
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"
I think you're the only person to see the episode that way.
I'm curious: why did you find it boring?
One Strip! One Strip!I thought the episode was alright, but I agree there was kind of a lack of jokes. I realize DBZ Abridged was never just a parody and had its own writing, but they kind of just copied a lot of the original here, only with a vaguely jokey tone here and there. Like, the Gohan transformation thing? It's basically just what happens in the actual show. I'm really not watching a parody show for "cool moments" or whatever either, and the whole Gohan situation felt a bit forced, so it kinda fell flat for me overall.
I loved the stuff with Cell Jr, Yamcha, and Dodge though. It didn't disappoint overall. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Actual genuinely cool moments in Abridged tend to revolve more around clever scripting rather than what were the cool moments in the original ("It means god. Now bow." is probably the most notable one.) They also tend to be pretty good at editing some cool action beats out of some overstuffed material. On the other hand, moments like Gohan going SSJ 2 is just screaming, so... yeah. Not a lot of material to work with.
Like, the best for the lack of a better term, "serious" material was mainly the Android stuff or the Imperfect/Semiperfect Cell stuff, when they had the room to make it funny-cool (see the Vegeta/19 fight, for instance). When it comes to Gohan/Cell there's just not as much room to make it funny.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Like, if I'm to be perfectly honest; they probably could end it here and I'm not sure we would lose a ton. They've brought out a lot of really solid episodes but I'm not sure how good material the Buu arc is for parody, since at that point it's almost self-parody already, and the Cell arc has already been clearly pushing the limits of their ability. This feels like a natural ending to DBZA and I think if they pushed it any further they might end up overstaying their welcome.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Soooooo, why does Cell despise Gohand?
Gonna be real lost, honestly.

And I think he hates him because from Cell's perspective, they're all weaklings trying to defend their planet uselessly, but at least they're trying. Gohan is faced with the destruction of his planet and he's still not getting in the robot, so to speak.

Cell tried to make a Gohandout account (Gohand for short) to get money to make/promote the Cell Games, but his account was closed because, unlike Heatap, they had qualms about supporting the Apocalypse. That's why Cell was forced to go the DIY route.

I guess Cell randomly expositing the entire series to that one guy a couple episodes ago means he had knowledge about things already...
Too bad this never came up before...

I really want them to reference that moment like this:
Trunks gets shot
Yamcha: "He's still alive, but just barely!"
Trunks coughs up blood
Yamcha: "Aaaand, now he's not."
Except, you know, with a better worded punchline.
