VII is probably the only abridged series where I think its better to watch it without playing the original.
I'm also disappointed that VII gets so many parodies while 8 and 9, which are equally if not even more absurd, barely get any. I mean FF 8 had a giant yellow testicle monster running the school that the main characters were at, in secret. And let's not even start on how silly Laguna's adventures are. It's ripe for abridging.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It's because 7's the famous one, where most everyone knows what goes on in it even without having played the game. 8 isn't nearly as popular (quite rightfully), and 9 isn't all that serious to begin with.
Not to mention, 8 is everything wrong with 90s anti-heroes, wrapped up into one edgy emo muddatruckin' Squall Leonhart.

The powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.Just another symptom of FFVII's disproportionate popularity compared to the rest of the series.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Never finished a mainline FF game. Only all the Tactics.
Played 3, 4, 6, 7 before I decided to stop trying. Oh, and the DS spinoff of 12.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Bad wording on my part. Maybe it's better to say it's a lot like Iron Man was to the Dark Knight Trilogy, where back when TDK had just come out and people were all over these darker takes on superheroes, Iron Man came along and had a lighter tone while still proving to be an incredible movie. In the days when RP Gs were dark and edgy like FF 7 and 8, 9 came along and was light-hearted and fun while still having serious moments (like the attacks on Burmecia and Lindblum, everything involving Vivi, and the final confrontation that isn't the Giant Space Flea from Nowhere).

Well...potentially. But the hiatus was a good thing.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I think they come back to do Buu. I doubt the hiatus lasts another year (the hiatus between 30 and 31 was only a few months, so it wasn't much of a hiatus), but I really do think they come back and finish the story Z told.
The powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.Hearing Lani talk about how awesome and humbling it is to get so much love from people in the twitch chat despite how long it took this episode to come out warms my heart. You can hear how much love and effort they all put into this series over the years, and I'm glad that they never let the more entitled "fans" get to them.
