I suppose so. In the end, that entire arc was kinda a disappointment wasn't it?
I mean, you can give them a bit of credit for getting us a little confused when Zamasu showed up separate from Black, but still.
One Strip! One Strip!@Tobias: Goku Black had one Potara earring though, not two, so fusion wasn't an airtight answer from the beginning.
Also honestly folks, when someone says they're enjoying the mystery while watching through something, that is not an invitation to start throwing around untagged spoilers about what happens.

Better to be sorry than safe...
The first one and second one (basically the one with Goku vs Jackie Chun, and Goku vs Tenshinhan). The third one with Piccolo as a whole wasn't good except for Piccolo's fights. The first two had really good fights throughout it, most not even using brute strength but shit like making people do maths, using a bald guy's head, etc.
So, remember the Super shorts? I wish they would do more of those, they stopped at "Vegeta is angry at Goku for hiring Hit in a scene that mirrors hiring a prostitute", before the Tournament of Power even began, and Zeno knows that tournament had a ton of potential material.
Personally, I want them to do something with the scene where Kami and Nail appear to Piccolo while Gohan blocks a blast to save him.
oh my god we're talking about Dragonball Abridged for once
I'd like something to do with Vegeta's Shiny Super Saiyan form, or something with Frieza coming back to life.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So I just realized something:
Since they're going to end the series at the Cell Saga, does this mean they'll tell us who would have been edited out of the Buu Saga since we obviously won't see the missing character at all?
Cause now I'm really curious about it,
One Strip! One Strip! They haven't said "definitely ending with Cell," but they're not optimistic about the series continuing into Buu.

A bit late, but the thing about the Goku Black mystery is that it's a really artificial and padded.
As mentioned before, the (rough) answer was really obvious from the start, and made the most sense. So the red herrings they threw in along the way made less sense than what the fans had already guessed, and also contradicted the rules of the series (admittedly, the anime version of Black contradicts the series either way). They had the cast made assumptions based on things that the audience knew weren't correct, and tried to cover up things that the audience already knew to expect.
Like, a big part of the initial mystery in the anime is pretending there is only one Zamasu, and therefore he can't be black. But that's idiotic, because the entire premise of the arc hangs on multiple timelines that each have different versions of the characters. When Zamasu shows up in the future, that just means Goku Black doesn't come from the future timeline. Which was already obvious from the fact that he has powers more similar to the main timeline Goku.
I appreciate the manga handles future Zamasu showing up with 'Oh, he's the Zamasu from THIS timeline' as an immediate deduction from Vegeta, instead of going 'THIS JUST RAISES FURTHER QUESTIONS (that already have answers)' that the anime did.
The manga did have the issue of providing much of an info dump at the start, but that could be resolved by having the obvious stuff figured out first, with the particulars Super Dragon Ball usage mostly figured out during or after the second trip. But not treating it like a huge mystery is definitely the right step.
It's not a problem that the details were so obvious - the upside is it makes Black feel like he fits into the setting using established principles. It's just that being upfront about it is better than building up mysteries that don't make sense.
So anyone still waiting for episode 60, better keep on waiting for about another four months or so. They're still recording everything, and Kaiser still has to edit it.
It's gonna be a three part episode released once a week over a month, and goes live on Twitch before being uploaded to Youtube.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm starting to think they're forgetting the "abridged" part. Having the entirety of Gohan vs Cell be 1 hour and 30 minutes long is comparable to the original show in terms of runtime. I think that whole fight could very easily be cut down to 30 minutes long, like all the other finales have been so far.
Part 1: Gohan gets beat up by Cell. Cell spawns Cell Jrs. 16 dies, end with Gohan going Super Saiyan 2.
Part 2: Super Saiyan 2 Gohan beats up Cell. End with Goku taking Cell away before he self-destructs.
Part 3: Super Perfect Cell comes back. Vegeta gets dunked on. Beam struggle. Wrap up.

Literally from the moment the character was first shown, long before the arc even began, the fact that he's wearing a Potara earring was a dead giveaway that someone had perma-fused with Goku.
Then Zamasu walked in and immediately started eating puppies and ranting about how totes evil he is.
It's not a very complicated mystery. The truth wound up being very slightly different - body snatching via a wish to Shenron 3, the dragon of "Nobody cares that wishes have limitations so why even bother having them anymore?" rather than fusion - but the premise was still every bit the blindingly obvious answer that it seemed.
The truly amusing thing is that after all the suspense and anticipation on the audience's part, the ultimate reality of Goku Black is that he's really just a rehash of Captain Ginyu. Waste of an interesting premise, if you ask me. I liked Goku Black better when I thought he was in any way related to Goku.
