Piccolo is not one of the Dragon Clan. The wiki made that up, he is identified as fighting caste in the manga.
His magic isn't identified as being Demon Clan exclusive.
Anyway, I agree with Tobias that the Super Balls are very arbitrary. We got a detailed explanation for them, but that doesn't really give us a reason why they work in the specifics that they do.
Being split among universe 6 and 7 might have made sense if they were always linked to Namekians, but from the explanation it sounds like the balls were created and then the Namekians took inspiration from them, so no further link to it.
Also, it's hard enough to have tension in the story when you have two sets of balls in the story, especially with how few limitations are on Namek's balls.
Having a set of balls with NO limitations on what could be granted seem like a terrible idea. Though we've only seen the Gods capable of collecting them due to scale, we don't need more cheat devices.
Super's really bad about cheat devices, too. I still can't believe that the Zamasu problem was solved by having Goku ring up the King of All to unmake him. At least the devastating consequences of that make it unlikely that Goku will do this again, but it still seems like a really cheap way to resolve the conflict.

It's a little unclear because 'Mazoku' appears in Japanese media quite frequently in as a concept, but the naming makes me feel in Daimao's case it's meant to serve as his caste as well. It really just means he's an evil Dragon Clan, though.

Yeah, that was just hypothetical on how they could justify the Super Balls.

The thing is, characters who know nothing about Namekians are still aware of the context of demons (like King Yenma, I believe).
Also, I don't think Kami would split into a being with two different clans. Now, Piccolo Jr. being a different clan makes sense (that King Piccolo would choose to reincarnate into a stronger fighter also makes sense). So King Piccolo was originally a Dragon Clansman as per Kami, but when he spat out Piccolo Jr. he chose to reincarnate as a Warrior Clansman so he could have greater power/aptitude for combat, which would explain why he's stronger as Piccolo Jr. in only a few years than he was in his prime as King Piccolo.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Huh. Yeah, if Namekians can choose the clan of their offspring then that makes total sense for the discrepancy in Piccolo and God's clans. Piccolo was just like, "Hmph! My next life's going to be the fighter-type Namekian and kick Goku's ass."

The manga said that they are, the anime said they aren't, the Funi dub of the anime says they are, and everyone calling the dragon "Super Shenron" makes them look like dicks if Bulma already knows that his name is Zalama. Personally, I think they are one and the same.
Also, Zalama didn't technically patent the Dragon Balls themselves, just the design facet that makes the stars inside look the same to all viewers, regardless of their location relative to the balls.
No. That still doesn't make it make sense since Trunks has A. never used the spirit bomb before B. ever seen the spirit bomb be used C. ever met King Kai (as far as I'm aware)

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"
Putting aside that argument's merits or lack thereof, none of that changes the fact that Trunks was able to perform a technique he has no idea how to use. More to the point, one which he likely has no idea exists.
