They've technically done Super abridged, so it is related.
And because there's no rule saying that people are only allowed to talk about the subject of the topic title. Maybe people don't want to use the general Dragon Ball thread? There's no actual guidelines on what is or isn't allowed to be talked about in relation to the topic unless it's completely off topic.
So it feels weird to call people out for talking about Dragon Ball....in a thread related to a product about Dragon Ball.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Why do you think the Naruto community thread exists? Or the SMT thread was split off from the Persona thread? Because you're supposed to stay on topic. And the topic is DBZA, not Super. Go ahead and talk about Super Abridged if you want to.
I agree that there is little sense in discussing Super here until it pertains to the Abridged series.
That being said, strictly policing off-topicness and getting huffy at the mere mention of Super is unnecessary.
Bojack is the next MOVIE, but they've said they're doing a new special before Episode 60 so that will almost certainly be Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans since that fits chronologically between Broly and Cell.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm not going to call the mods about it, but I feel like I shouldn't have to in the first place. I simply asked for an off topic discussion to be moved to the proper thread.
Whatever. Either you'll move (or have moved, didn't check the other thread) or you won't.

DBZA takes after and references the entire Dragon Ball franchise from Dragon Ball to Super. They've ha d Jones and references in episodes to events that aren't part of Z proper.
Super will always be a valid discussion point because TFS aren't making Abridged in a perfect vacuum, we know they watch Super as well.
This isn't a SMT and Persona type situation, since those are two different franchise that don't cross over with each other. It would be more apt to compare it to someone complaining about people discussing Persona 5 in the general Persona thread.
On the topic of the next special, it'll probably be plan to eradicate the Sayians. They've mentioned the special a few times and it doesn't have as many problems with continuity as the remaining movies.
The remaining movies require Gohan to have SSJ 2 and Goku to be dead, so post-episode 60.
If they get done. Which I hope eventually to be the case.
Broly: Second Coming takes place in the lead-up to the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai, which is part of the Buu arc. So it's not happening unless they abridge the Buu arc, which is currently not on the plate.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Man, it's a shame they aren't going to reach Buu, but their issues with Toei seem to be getting worse.
One Strip! One Strip!

So? It doesn't change that the fact that teamwork happens in Dragon Ball, including the freaking final battle of the manga.
Ginyu's power is still his power. Also, again, it doesn't matter why it happens, but that it happened.
...So? I am not even seeing your point here.
Your claim was that cooperation is "never how Dragon Ball has ever worked" which is just blatantly untrue. It have been part of the series ever since Yamcha helped Goku to defeat the Bunny gang in the first arc. Sure, most of the time it ends up being a one on one, with minimal teamwork, but that doesn't mean team work never happens or ever stopped happening.
