Basically everything about Boo is magic, he is a magical being. Absorption and regeneration come from that.
Vegetto ignores all that because Vegetto is a walking plot device.
Beyond that, magic would need to be waaaaay better defined to serve as a major influence in an arc. The DB version of magic is better kept in the background because I don't think Toriyama would adequetly balance it.

Think of the bloodline, boy.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I'm thinking of doing a review of Dragon Ball Super's "Goku Black" Arc.
I haven't been interested in Dragon Ball since the last two years of high school.
I'm still not really all that interested. I'm just doing it because this "Goku Black" is...something.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Random Thought: Does anyone else remember if there were characters in DBZA, be it the main series or movies, that sounded like Scratch and Grounder from the old Sonic cartoon?
I really get the feeling I heard characters with those voices in some abridged series but DBZA is the only one I watch anymore. It might have been in some old YGOTAS though.

I don't think there were Scratch and Grounder sound alikes in either of those shows. Although BOTH shows did have comic duos from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. DBZ had the Plutonians while Yu-gio-oh had the Mooninites.
I was just binging the first season of DBZA and noticed that a Jimmy is mentioned when the news crew first shows up to the Saiyan fight. If it's an intentional reference to Jimmy Firecracker, that's pretty clever.
Also, is Yajirobe ever mentioned in DBZA before he appears and cuts off Vegeta's tail? That comes across as a huge Deus ex Machina in hindsight.
I think that was just a happy coincidence. The two reporters on the scene for the Abridged Saiyan battle are Clark and Jimmy; a reference to Superman's alter ego Clark Kent and his best friend Jimmy Olson.

Partly because the Great Saiyaman filler actually changed the plot points from the manga, and in Kai Videl finding out Gohan's identity doesn't quite make sense.
The US release actually left in some Great Saiyaman filler that the Japanese version of Kai had cut out, so that's nice.
Nappa and Raditz, on the other hand, are still in Hell with all the other assholes not named Vegeta.
Dabura reforms in heaven, while Nappa breaks out of hell and is immediately killed again. Shame.
