Recent power-ups have more to do with that, eh?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Saiga, by your logic, Mumen Rider VS the Deep Sea King was the worst fight in all of OPM instead of one of the most powerful and Mumen Rider's best moment.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The two series really aren't comparable, and I kinda wish people would stop doing so lol. There's no real point of comparison because both series have completely different themes and plotlines. But I can't really expect much from the Anime Internet community, so whatever...
In any case, I feel Saiga has a point; most people who are fans of the human characters intentionally twist certain moments to make them look better than they actually are because they like them, regardless of narrative intent. After all, nobody really wants to admit their favorites are useless and would do anything to make them look good.
Absolutely nobody can tell me this isn't the case because so many people cite inconsequential things like Filler scenes from the Anime or outright fanon that hasn't been covered by the Anime to justify their headcanon. Because hey, gotta make da humans look cool. :V
You seem like the type of person who wouldn't be impressed by it lol.
Additionally, I think when people talk about how awesome fights like Saitama vs. Boros are, they're talking more about the spectacle of the fight, rather than the substance. The end result is still literally the same as Saitama's other fights. Boros just lasted slightly longer is all. If that fight wasn't as visually impressive as it was, it wouldn't get as much attention.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. And yet a revenge obsessed old man's brain in a can managed to make stupidly powerful combat cyborgs.
Maybe Dr. Briefs invented super gis to give the humans a fighting chance.

Your entire post is really condescending. Are you seriously claiming that Goku fanboys don't do EVERYTHING you listed, like using filler to justify Goku > Gohan? Anybody in the DB fandom knows this is an ancient argument that never dies in the general DB community.
Acting like fans of the human characters are somehow a unique hotbed of stupidity or misinformation is just offensive.

The thing about Mumen Rider vs Sea King is that there is no real illusion that he stands any sort of chance. He isn't anywhere close to being able to put up a fight. People like him because he tried anyway rather than run away when he could. He was willingly going to his death because he felt it was the right thing to do. And then he got stomped into the pavement in less than a second, which is pretty much what he expected.
DB tries to actually give you the sense that there's a chance the underdog character might win or is stronger than they are. And in a fight like Krillin vs Piccolo he isn't putting his life on the line for some great and noble purpose. I don't actually have an opinion on whether or not that's a bad thing, but it's not the same thing as Mumen Rider was doing. You really shouldn't be comparing the two situations.
I think all points have their merits. I do mostly agree that I like seeing how the other dudes strut their stuff even if they stand no chance.
There's really not much more left to say on this topic really.
One Strip! One Strip!People love that because is a chararter moment for them and because they try their best and a léast give a good fight before they got beat up, is impresive.
Also considering how shonen show always scale everything to their leads, so no Being capable to win is so another way to said "he dosent have protagonist hax powers"
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"![]()

I don't really see this often, so I can't really comment on it. Besides, Goku is stronger than Gohan nowadays, so it's a moot point.
And you pointing out that other fans do this isn't really refuting anything I said. I don't care about those fans you mentioned.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.![]()
that was predictable turn consider the wonky power levels of DB, in anything GT have Many villian using other means to fight Goku: baby is inside vegeta, súper 17 and is absorving powers, the dragón and their diferent tricks...it was diferent rather than MOAR POWAH!

That's being overly literal. It also covers a wide range of situations involving characters failing to live up to their hype - just like a Faux Action Girl is usually presented as being quite capable, but doesn't hold up in actual combat.
A lot of people think Piccolo vs Kuririn is awesome, a lot of people also don't know that half-dead Piccolo could easily kill him. Many fans of the humans don't understand how outclassed the humans are. Many fans don't pay that much attention to the relative strengths of the characters. Many fans are influenced by adaptation additions or outright fanon.
Hell, there's a significant number of fans who argue that the humans rival the base Saiyans up to the end of the series.
Besides, I don't base my opinions on what's popular. I don't care about being the minority, I just go with what makes the most sense to me.
