They did on the page describing Superman, they just never specified him being able to use the speed force.
And yes, Even then Superman can usually keep up with the flash in most instances.
Watch SymphogearI only brought up the death battle and things directly related to it because Masako X as Goku (and moreso as a chance to pimp The Randomverse).
No, DGOC, he is 'not the main writer for the new movie. Yusuke Watanabe is.
He's not the main writer for Dragon Ball Online either. He's the supervisor. No "main writer" has ever been credited, but the creative director is Koji Takamiya.
And nobody in any official capacity has ever said anything about canon, ever. It's a western concept.
In summary, you're making shit up. Please do some research in the future instead.
The fact that they used the wrong incarnation of Goku using SS4 shows that they don't know. Z era Goku can't go SS4, and in GT a tail is needed to transform so they fucked up that as well.
My "no grasp of canon" comment was referring to them just including everything about the character that is official rather than what is canon.

Yeah, even for a death battle, the ending was kinda OOC for both of them. Of course, Goku can't breathe in space, so if he's being the aggressor, it's on him to goad Superman somewhere else, then Instant Transmission there. Or, given a certain level of understanding, he could lead Goku to a liveable, but unoccupied planet. Or just fuck up one of the Kai's places again.
The battle was mostly an illustrative thing I felt. In the end what it came down to was the Goku was superhuman but not as godlike as Superman. They weren't even in the same league and the figures showed the difference.
Goku is constantly going beyond his physical limits while Superman is simply overcoming self-imposed limits. "As strong as he needs to be."
Other than that the only thing the fight showed is that Goku probably wouldn't be willing to fight Superman using Kryptonite. So even though there are ways he could win he probably wouldn't take them because he would try to make it all about brute strength, and his numbers just don't compare.
The excuse for them fighting was kinda poor though. I think.

That's not even close. He doesn't pre-emptively attack people because of what they might do.
And, even when he faces someone he knows is a villain, he moves the fight away from cities immediately so that no-one gets hurt.
Attacking an innocent person in the middle of the city is something Goku would never do.
I thought they were using the Team Four Star Goku. Someone stupid enough to attack because he thinks a fight would be fun.
Calm down, saiga, it was a Just for Fun thing that all the other Death Battle things are.
Watch SymphogearGiven that these are purely hypothetical scenarios, I liked the meaning behind the world blowing up. The message it sent is that yes, Superman would defeat Goku, but with the amount of power required to do so, it wouldn't be worth doing. Superman defeating Goku would be a pyrrhic victory that would cost him everything he fights for to accomplish.
It sends home the message that yes, Superman IS infinitely powerful and Superman COULD, blow for blow, take everything Goku can dish at him and deliver more. But it also clearly demonstrates the effects of the amount of power being unleashed in order to achieve that. Remember: Death Battle only establishes that he CAN, not that he WOULD, and the ending actually provides a very compelling reason why he SHOULDN'T that is commonly overlooked in Let's You and Him Fight discussions.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.

It's just him vibrating his body at 90% the speed of light to make his fists have an infinite mass punch, something that the Flash can as well but much more easily.
