See, now I'm just picturing Nappa trying to bludgeon Goku with a random passerby, watching the person explode into a blood fountain on impact, and bitching about how these stupid fragile humans aren't even suited to being clubs.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.To be fair, it was like that in Z, too.
The main character typically only having one attack move and a bunch of support moves is an annoying problem that tends to come up fairly often in shonen. Yusuke generally only used Spirit Gun, Naruto generally only used Rasengan, Goku generally only uses Kamehameha, etc.
@Tobias and then realizing all that did was make Goku angrier, so literally all Nappa has done is make his own situation worse. It would have been more effective to do literally nothing.
My various fanfics.Instead of Vegeta blowing up Nappa after Goku cripples him, Goku uses him as a club against Vegeta.

Well, I'm sold. New canon.
Yusuke also used the Shotgun quite often as well.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, When All You Have Is a Hammer…. If you have one great attack, there's no reason to learn anything else.

Random civilians would run into the breaking like tissue paper problem.
If you can somehow get, say, Whis to consent to being swung around by his ankles, he'd make a great blunt instrument though.
