Well, Bojack Unbound takes place some time after the defeat of Cell but before the timeskip. So I imagine they'll wait until then like how they waited until after Frieza to abridge Cooler.
You know, while the movies don't fit in the canon at all, I'm really baffled at the third and fourth ones, and the fifth one for different reasons. The third and fourth one both have the Kaioken and Spirit Bomb, suggesting it's after the Saiyan Saga, but Tien Yamcha and Chiaotzu are still alive which doesn't happen until after Frieza, but Goku never goes Super Saiyan (Not that he should even be on Earth then, which is the same issue with Revenge of Cooler but I accepted that as a what-if.).
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! They're not too hard, for some of them. I figure 3 and 4 are after the Saiyan Saga but with the what-if of everyone surviving. 5 is obviously after Frieza's defeat, and if Goku did return to Earth. 6 and 7 are some time after the defeat of Androids 19 and 20, probably some time while dealing with 17 and 18. 7, the Android 13 one, seems to be the same. 8 is the Broly one and confirmed to be meant to take place during the Cell Games waiting days. 9 is Bojack Unbound and one of the few that could make sense if fitted into the timeline since it's after the Cell Saga but before the timeskip. 10 is Broly: Second Coming and takes place after Videl and Gohan start dating but presumably before the Majin Buu business gets nasty. Or maybe during the brief period after Mr. Satan tames Fat Buu but before the birth of Super Buu. Don't really know when movie 11 takes place, but obviously after 18 loses to Mr. Satan.
12 doesn't seem to fit anywhere. Both Goku and Vegeta are dead, which barring a what-if scenario would mean it has to be after Majin Vegeta's sacrifice but before Goku's revival. Earth was at peace until Janemba happened which suggests it too may be during the brief peace thanks to Mr. Satan. On the other hand, Goku and Vegeta both seem aware of the fusion technique, the latter of which isn't possible until Super Buu... Part of me is just tempted to say it's after the Buu Saga but if Goku and Vegeta both stayed dead.
13 is obviously post-Buu.
The only ones that seem to be able to fit in without retcons or what-ifs are Meta-Cooler (Which obviously has the problem of relying on the unfittable first Cooler movie, but the events of the film itself contradict nothing), Android 13, Broly (Though it stretches the willing suspension of disbelief to believe they went on a little field trip during the Cell Games wait), Bojack, Broly again, Bio-Broly (Maybe), and Hirudegarn.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! He DOES seem to talk about Buu in the past tense as if he destroyed him, but then again maybe it has been a while since he dealt with Buu but Buu is still alive, I forget the exact timeframe for Fat Buu's vow to never kill and subsequent rearrangement into Super Buu.
12 does seem to have the most issues fitting itself in. Janemba is cool though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, yeah, I mean being dead during the Kid Buu fight but then not being revived for whatever reason. So if Old Kai never gave Goku his life force and if Vegeta was not wished back due to still being evil or something. Of course Old Kai has no reason not to do that especially since sending a dead Goku into battle with Kid Buu would put him at great risk of being destroyed for keeps.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wouldn't be possible, Goku can't go to Earth while dead anymore, so none of the actions leading up to the battle with Pure Boo would happen.
Also since Janemba's first form is the strongest ki Goku has ever felt, and yet still weaker than SS 3 Goku, Super Boo probably never happened.

Garlic Jr. is the one that bugs me the most. In order for it to exist, it has to take place in an alternate timeline where Krillin knows of Gohan's existence before Raditz's arrival locks the timeline down too tightly for any movies to happen until the end of Namek. While also taking place after Piccolo became protective of Gohan.
It has fewer plotholes than the other films, but unlike the other films, Garlic Jr. has a followup in the anime proper, requiring it to be canon (to the anime) despite the fact that it cannot possibly exist within canon.
This is why I'm glad Popo devoured Garlic Jr. like the little wretch of continuity-destruction he is and nothing more needs to be said of him.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Out of curiosity is Vegeta killing Namekian villagers filler? Because I've heard conflicting reports on that. Given the filler also making him blow up "the bug planet", I kinda feel like the anime writers were unaware Vegeta was supposed to Heel–Face Turn and just went and made him as evil as possible for kicks and filler, and then had to hastily invoke Easily Forgiven and the like when it turned out he's supposed to become a good guy (Perfect Cell stupidity and Majin Vegeta aside).
Unless even Toriyama hadn't planned to make him turn "good", and went and did that in spite of the anime making him too difficult to forgive. Which is still a lesson on why you should be more careful with what your filler does, but less "The author has other plans" and more "The author isn't going to account for what you did and may contradict you".

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So then it's just an odd case of Easily Forgiven (Admittedly the fact that it's a world with an established and pleasant afterlife softens the blow somewhat) that isn't adaptation-induced.

The Reaper Games starts anew.@ Fusion Reborn: Fat Buu was chilling out in his house rather than destroying stuff. Everything was calm for a while.
... And that shit just don't fly in DBZ world. So a bunch of old villains broke out of Hell to make things interesting while Buu was off NOT being a villain.

A lot of things about Vegeta seem to have been rebuilt throughout the Saiyan and Freeza sagas as Toriyama came up with a better idea of what he wanted to do with him.
I remember Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho went through something similar (though in that case I know more for sure that that's the case), though in that case the change is a great deal more abrupt and noticeable.

So far the only two post-Buu things have been the Hirudegarn movie and that special with Tarble. It's sorta nice to see that they can finally catch a break after Buu (Hirudegarn is tough, but still goes down in the space of a single night and fails to kill anyone besides his summoner or cause emotional distress outside of stomping on Vegeta's house) and NOT have planetary apocalypse nipping at their heels.
And then GT happened. Or didn't, but you get what I mean.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I remember the GBA game Buu's Fury framing the Janemba movie as something that happened right after Goku returned to the afterlife. Of course, it did omit the whole "ghosts, monsters, and Nazi's invading the realword" portions.

Yarr!
I love Abridged Bojack. If they ever abridge Bojack Unbound it will be bittersweet because he's awesome as a disembodied voice in King Kai's planet not to mention he'll likely get Killed Off for Real (Not that there'd be anywhere for him to show up in the Buu Saga anyway).
