Huh, I thought for some reason that they will be starting re-doing Endangered Species. I even recall cover with a new character. Was that abandoned or do I think about another project?
On the unrelated note, I wonder if someone will try to continue rebooted continuity. Probably not right now but sooner or later.
Overall, decent start. Maybe not the most amazing thing ever (fight with Tails Doll for example) but those are cards that were dealt. No wonder they added new unexpected character. With more freedom, it will probably get better. The artwork was very impressive, covers especially look good enough to be official.
The Tails Doll fight seemed less fluid than the others but with a something that big it's hard to make it flow as well as the Sonic and Emerl fight XD I liked how Big helped!
EDIT: Huh, according to this podcast (at around 2 hours in), the Iron Dominion arc was a joke pitch Ian Flynn inserted among his actual #200 pitches to make the rest look better, and he had to scramble to make it work when it was approved.

We are indeed doing the Endangered Species remake, the solicit for which can be seen here: http://archiesoniconline.com/board/index.php?topic=1217.0. That solicit actually was released before the 248 one, but only because the cover for it was completed first.
Huh. So they will make it but it won't be canon to their story? Or did it happened but they showing us comics in the wrong order?
The rewritten Endangered Species will be canon to our story, so even though 248 was released first, it will happen first chronologically.
So remember Lara Su Chronicles? That horribly drawn sin against nature that Penders is doing with all his original characters and Knuckles? Well, guess who else might be in it?
Basically, it sounds like he's trying to make this some quasi-continuation of the pre-SGW continuity including Ian's issues, even though he previously said he didn't want anything to do with that. All I know is that I'm suddenly really glad that Archie Sonic Online exists. (Not that I wasn't already, but still.)
I found another Archie Sonic continuation on Deviantart through our Fanfic Recs page. It's on its first issue as well. https://glitcher.deviantart.com/art/SONIC-RETOLD-Main-Cover-640652187
Eh. It's good, but it's less of a continuation and more of a retelling of the last year or so of the preboot comics. I like it and I'm still reading it, (it's on it's second issue by the way, just a FYI,) but ASO is more of what I was looking for.
A new ASO solicit is out, this time for St HO #249, an issue written by yours truly: http://archiesoniconline.com/board/index.php?topic=1438.0
RE: Penders wanting to use Ian Flynn's characters after Ian said they won't show up in the IDW reboot:
...is it me or does it seem like Penders is seriously going over the line with that statement?
On a related note, I don't really want to see it in any capacity, but has there been any update on The Lara-Su Chronicles like, at all?
Because it's almost as if he's lazing around with the concept on purpose...

Penders already has his own characters, why does he needs Ian's?
Well, other than declaring he wants to commit outright copyright infringement, (oh, the irony,) there's been a whopping two whole extra pages put out. One of these involves a photoshopped picture of an actual frigging beach, and the other one has a Jhudoon from Doctor Who and Knuckles -- oh, I'm sorry, ''K'nu'x'' -- with the serial numbers filed off.◊ And he's declared that Geoffery and Hershey were never meant to be a thing.
So... Penders being Penders.
Probally because he thinks that A)if no-one else is using them, he might as well use them, and B)fuck consequences, he can do whatever the hell he wants. Because it hasn't stopped him from already including a major Sega character that doesn't belong to him. (AKA. Knuckles.) Basically, he's an entitled SOB.

(looks at hyperlinks to pages)
This. Cannot. Continue.
Im so conflicted on the whole Penders thing. Issue 50 is effectively my first ever comic so its on an unnaturally high pedastal. Its just, I shouldn't need to feel embarassed for liking something this obvious madman had a hand in writing. I do, though, and I hate that.

..Why are you all worked up over the comic that will never come out?
Let's not pay it any more attention, because like a small child putting the cat in a tumble dryer, that's exactly what it wants.
On unrelated note, I know that Archie Online is still getting an early start (I'm not even sure if Sonic Universe will be brough back) but I can't help but wonder over the possibilities. It already introduced Emerl whom Flynn either didn't want or wasn't allowed to use. With no more restrictions, the sky's the limit: Nega, Black Doom or Mephiles can make full appearance. Sonic X and Underground characters can show up or be integrated into continuity. Reboot characters might be used. Characters and concepts from Fleetway can be adaptated.
Heck, dare we dream, maybe one day we'll get crossover between Archie and Fleetway! That was something I always wanted to see but it was never possible to happen in official comic - that is, unless both Archie and Fleetway would be both purchased by Disney.
They already said they're bringing back Sonic Universe, so... yeah.
I wonder why series like Resident Evil and Devil May Cry weren't featured in Worlds Unite?
Because they're Bloodier and Gorier and both series involve heavy use of guns. (especially Resident Evil)
Plus, I'm pretty sure Resident Evil and Devil May Cry take place in separate universes from Mega Man.
Still, it would've been hilarious to see Sonic's reaction to having to saw through zombies and demons.
Dante would annoy Eggman just as much as Sonic.
And if Dr. Wily thought Eggman trying to kill Light was going too far, wait until he gets a load of Wesker.

What if Eggman teamed up with Dr. Weil instead?
So Penders has put up another image from his upcoming trainwreck charitably called a comic. And it's a doozy.◊
Now that redesigned Geoffrey has a Porn Stache, Penders has pretty much given-up trying to pretend that Geoffrey St.John wasn't just his self-insert, hasn't he?
At least Geoffrey was good in the original comics. >_>
whats wrong with his face
