Lol true, it's classified more as a regular novel than the standard LN. The only "isekai" about Otherside Picnic is going to the Otherside, but Sorawo and Toriko were not whisked away by some God or some force.
The LN is the most definitive experience for Otherside Picnic as it is a complete story, if you want the alternative over the manga.

The Metro series fan! Steam Account: RandumI recently finished Volume 8 of Otherside Picnic. As always, Sorawo having no social skills is infuriatingly hilarious and entertaining to watch. It was nice to see Sorawo and Toriko finally become an official couple, even if most of the hardship getting there was due to Sorawo being a disaster of a human being.

Their Love Confession from Volume 3 to being an Official Couple in Volume 8 is a massive change.
The Metro series fan! Steam Account: RandumJust read Adachi and Shimamura 99.9. What the fuck. I didn't expect a slice of life slow burn about two girls playing in a clubroom to become a time-displaced anthology of existentialism.
On the other hand, there were hints to the themes and greater whole since the start, so it's on brand. But... damn, the last third fucked me up.
some other recommendations for you that are a little off the beaten path.
- Symphogear without spoiling too much, I'll just say there is a reason fans call it "Symphogay". Some might consider the yuri content subtext, but I say that if this is subtext, it's VERY LOUD!, as the main lesbian couple is extremely important to the plot. Symphogear is also just generally awesome and fun to watch.
- Fight! Iczer One: Very old school. The manga was a hentai story of two cute lesbians battling tentacle monsters (and more humanoid aliens, who also tend to be lesbians) in a giant mecha. It was the first breakout hit of Lemon People, the first modern hentai manga publication. The 4 episode OVA made in 1985 dials back the explicitness for more mecha action.
- Oniisama e..: very old yuri, one of the first (1974!), thus class-S stylings, but very dark and extremely influential on the genre as a whole, by Riyoko Ikeda (most famous for Rose of Versailles).

Seems like I am the only person around who hates Symphogear. It had all of the components of my ideal anime (music, actiony and dark take on magical girl genre, GL elements, interesting artstyle and a bunch of my favorite V As) but the script was just so overflowing with bad shounen tropes... urgh.

Yeah. Symphogear is grade A awesome but the lows hit hard. Hibiki really needed to replace her whole dad. Genjuro was right there!
And no last episode kiss or anything to seal the deal either... Even Gundam had that issue though years later. Goddamn.

You are not alone.Chapter 3 of The Noble Lady on the Edge of the Cliff Wants to Make the Dark Knight Fall in Love! was recently translated, and it's one of those chapters that you probably shouldn't read while hungry.
It's nice seeing the Dark Knight starting to warm up a bit towards the protagonist, and we get to see that the protagonist is pretty nice towards hired help. Which probably isn't that surprising, considering the protagonist had to handle housework herself due to her family being impoverished and knows how hard it can be.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Oh come on those Blu-Ray sales where nothing to sneeze at. There's plenty more Magical Girls to Gush Over.
You are not alone.

Sorry, manga are a no go, near-blind. Otherwise I'd be all over some of the manga classics.
