Les Mondes d'Aldébaran
- No Music Allowed: Music is forbidden by the corrupt government of Aldébaran.
Epic Pixel Battle: YMMV
- Harsher in Hindsight: In the "L VS Layton" episode, L calls Professor Layton a "Dirty pedophile". Years later, it came to light that 123Lunatic, who created Epic Pixel Battle and voiced Layton in this episode, is a groomer.
Téléchat: Trivia
- Refitted for Sequel: Groucha was originally represented by a different puppet, which ended up being used for Léon Minoux, a character introduced in Season 3.
@ Melinda
As a decades-long multimedia franchise with around 20,000 named characters and thousands (superfluous word - cut) more distinctive yet unnamed characters, Star Wars Legends has a staggering number of popular supporting or minor characters.
- Vuffi Raa being replaced by L3-37 as Lando's droid companion in Solo has a notable Broken Base reception.
- Separatist holdouts Atticus Farstar (a Frontline General who gets a clever Batman Gambit) and Kaddak (a tattooed Cultured Warrior Clone deserter who acts as a Hope Bringer to the resistance) only have a handful of lines and scenes between them in the comic Darth Vader And the Cry of Shadows (and Farstone even vanishes without explanation by the end of the miniseries), but both impressed lots of readers to an impressive degree.
- Anakin's fellow Jedi Quest padwans Tru Veld (a Gadgeteer Genius Rubber Man) and Fragile Speedster Darra Thel-Tanis appear (move text) less frequently throughout the series than their peers Anakin and Ferus, (comma) and (unlike those two) don't show up in subsquent series (remove apostrophe), but their array of skills and endearing personalities make them among the better-liked supporting characters from the YA novels.
- Lesheu, the Seeker Archetype main representative of one of the more unique races of Starfish Aliens in the franchise, is one of the few characters from The Lando Calrissian Adventures who still has some name recognition with the fanbase.
- Sariss, Maw, Pic, Gorc, Yun, and Boc the Crude, Jerec's Dark Jedi apprentices from Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, all have their fans and are part of the reason for the game's popularity. (unnecessary detail - cut) Sariss even got Retconned into having cameos in the original film and the Holiday Special while working undercover.
- Darksider apprentice Tavion Axmis from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and ''Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy has fan art, fanfiction, and cosplayers despite her limited role. Part of it is due to her Stripperific outfits, but part of it is also due to her being a good fighter who Grew a Spine between games after having a Villainous Breakdown in her first appearance.
- The Chinese Maze Murders has a scene where Dee reads the letter of a long dead famously honest reformer who regrets how for all of the good he accomplished, he failed to raise his son right. In his letter, he blames himself for the crimes he correctly believes his son will commit and begs for whoever reads the letter to show his son as much mercy as is legally acceptable. The severity of the son's crimes makes the only possible mercy a quick execution rather than a drawn-out one, and for all his hatred of his father, the son cries after reading the letter.
- The short story "The Wrong Sword" ends with two Happily Married actors learning that one of their children killed the other with a Not-So-Fake Prop Weapon (and one which the father struck the fatal blow with) and faces certain execution. Her motive is based on a cruel lie that could have been exposed with better communication. Dee gives them a compassionate and uplifting speech about how they are good people who are still fairly young and have each other and the work they love, but that doesn't make the tragedy go away either.

@ Riddick
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Diaz misses when he shoots at the jackal and later lies that it is dead. Was that simple bad marksmanship, a Pet the Dog moment, or a calculating ploy to leave a predator out there to pick off more of his partners and leave a bigger share of the bounty for himself?
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Vargas gets some good The Smart Guy and Casual Danger Dialogue moments and is one of the least ruthless mercenaries, but he is bitten and poisoned by a mud demon within a couple minutes of the Enemy Mine team-up between Riddick and the mercenaries, without getting any real chance to interact with Riddick or use his skills to help him.
- The two nuanced, Battle Butler footman droids from Dark Rendezvous have some fans who rate them among the top ten droid characters in Legends, even though that is their sole appearance.
- Snaplaunce, a Reasonable Authority Figure Ithorian Beat Cop from Planet of Twilight who reappears in a more memorable fashion as an equally reasonable mayor in one of the Fate of the Jedi books, while also having a TIE fighter as his campaign vehicle.
- Outside of the arena, Wattzon (an out-of-shape Straw Loser and the only outlier of the trio), Dragon (a reality-challenged Adrenaline Junkie), and Augustus "The Cavalier Career" Braun have wildly different temperaments and backgrounds but get along well and often engage in Drowning My Sorrows together. This doubles as an Intergenerational Friendship, since Dragon is about thirty years older than Wattzon and forty years older than Augustus.
@ Cheating Death: Those That Lived Almost all of the victors (and many other tributes and non-Hate Sink Capitol characters) are designed to appeal to broad categories of fans, and most of them succeed admirably at that, whether despite or because of the tongue-in-cheek tone. Still, there are some who seem to stand just a little bit above the rest, based on the story's reviews.
Victors
- Teff's POV scenes as a deaf tribute and family relationship to her district's first victor make her the most popular District 9 victor for some readers.
- Augustus Braun has little to do outside of his chapter but is well-liked for making a moving and beleivable transition from a cocky loyalist to a disenchanted mentor as he grows attached to his tributes but keeps failing to save them.
- Chev only has a few scenes in the eleventh chapter but makes an impression with his Heroic Suicide robbing the controversial Olga of her much-savoured final kill and for being the uncle of future victor Chassiss.
- The twelve girls who form a Sisterhood Eliminates Creep alliance to go after Neon in chapter 49 have a good mixture of funny, touching, and awesome moments that endear them to many fans.
- Action Girl Mare from Chapter 43 and the companion piece The Acidic Forrest is considered an impressive and sympathetic character and worthy runner-up for those games.
- Capitol child Alvorn Wake is one of the best-remembered Capitol Games tributes despite his lack of dialogue, due to how he is one of the toughest and most ruthless fighters in the games despite only being thirteen and having a prosthetic arm, but also gets some good humanizing moments in the way his family talks about him and Cupid comforts him as he dies.
- Captain Abe is a very well-regarded mentor despite only being a Capitol official assigned to the role until a Distirct 6 tribute wins. His Going Native arc is very well-liked.
- Chuff Mitchell only gets a couple of quick cameos, but fans love the Black Comedy behind how he avoids being reaped as a tribute due to the escort reading the wrong name and his extremely tenuous connection with the games getting him appointed a mentor for the Capitol Games.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Pierre isn't the most talkative or proactive of the counselors, but readers enjoy how his Only Sane Man moments tend to ve either heartwarming or have their own blend of humor.
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Does Will start making out with Kayla after admitting that he's always thought they were Like Brother and Sister in an Incest Subtext moment toward his real sister, or is it just an ordinary makeout session as he sheds his platonic feelings toward Kayla?
- He's Just Hiding: It can be nice to hope that Amy (who remains conscious for a few seconds longer than most people do after being stabbed in the heart), Kayla (who is still able to talk before seemingly succumbing to throat injuries) and Seth (given how eye-gouging alone is often survivable) may have survived their wounds and only passed out from the pain.
- The Atoner: Heather, who knows how to hotwire a car, tells Sharp that she views cheerleading as a way to make up for her past rather than as a fun pastime or social status tool.

In Crash Landing on You, Se-ri falls on Jeong-hyeok after a tornado led her astray while paragliding.
- A popular fan theory about the Kokiri and Koroks is that the Koroks are the "true" form of the Kokiri, with the Koroks having only taken on human Kokiri forms in order to make the young Link feel comfortable during his time in the forest in Ocarina of Time. While this would explain their drastically different appearances (and why the Kokiri have effectively disappeared from the series in favor of the Koroks), this fan theory is debunked by the Kokiri remaining human even when Link comes back into Kokiri Forest as an adult, as well as The Wind Waker, which explains that the Kokiri changed into the Koroks following the great flood (which took place long after the events of Ocarina of Time), with Makar's ancestor, Fado, being shown as a human Kokiri.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker:
- Replacement Scrappy: While most fans don't hate the Koroks, they are not as well-regarded as their ancestors in Ocarina of Time, the Kokiri, due to their somewhat unsettling and non-human appearance, and their lack of true distinguishing traits unlike the Kokiri. It doesn't exactly help that they're associated with the Wind Temple (which is often regarded as one of the worst temples in the series) and the Forest Water quest, which many view as That One Sidequest. Their reappearance in Breath of the Wild would only worsen their reputation amongst fans, since they are responsible for the infamous Korok Seeds sidequest in that game.

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS OF THE NEW TOTAL DRAMA SEASON. DON'T CHECK IT IF YOU WISH TO AVOID SPOILERS!
Hi fellas. It's me again. Let's have another try.
Some Headscratchers for Total Drama:
- If Priya's parents were big Total Drama fans who wished the prize money, why didn't they audition to join the show instead of training their daughter since infancy to do it?
- The auditions of this cast seem to be aired with the season premiere instead of being released as separate videos not attached to any episodes. Out-of-universe, this was because Cartoon Network didn't order Fresh TV to make bonus content, but in-universe, the auditions are likely meant to have been only seen by the show's producers. By airing this cast's auditions on live television, couldn't there be legal consequences for some people? Among the auditions aired, Priya shows footage of her parents being abusive due to forcing her to do dangerous stunts since childhood, Chase reveals that he was the one responsible for Emma crashing against the pet store by cutting her brakes and MK shows how she stole a wallet from a couple. In MK's case, the couple can now be aware she was the one who stole their wallet.
- What happened to the Revenge of the Island interns? The tall one seems to now be a cameraman, but what about the chubby and the female interns?
- Any specific reasons for which Chris decided to make a finale of three instead of two?

- Gym Class Hell: "Personal Best". When Coach Lubbock wants his kids to start exercising more, Marie is the only one who likes the idea, and only because she considers the physical exertion required for gym class to be a form of self-punishment to atone for her worst sins.
- Badass Adorable: The girls by the end, when they help capture the villain while maintaining their peppy attitudes and nervousness about the situation.
- Musically-talented surgeon Zan Yant only appears in the first book of the MedStar Duology, but some powerful moments where he is The Heart (including having a Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right! secret) make him surprisingly popular among the Clone Wars-era characters.

- Complete Monster:
- Horus
: Set, Red King, is Horus’s envious uncle and usurper of throne of Kemet. Spitefully murdering his brother Osiris after he accidentally slept with Set’s wife, Set summons clouds over Kemet’s capital which lead to famine. Set let’s his Apsiu creatures enslave all members of their species who are incapable of flight and using them as his army. Learning that Horus is faced to owerthrow him, Set sends his army in search of Horus, leading to massacre of Horus’s entire village. Set attempts to have Apsiu who rebeled against him executed and when Horus comes to city with an army, attempts to sway his half-brother Anubis to his side.
- Ruby and Nora: Void, God of Darkness, is far worse than in the show. Envious because he was incapable of creating universes like other gods, Void joins his brother Light in his plan to become most powerfull beings in existence. Void kills countless gods and enables his brother to steal energy from their universes, killing all beings in them. Banished to Remnant, Void joins his brother in slaugthering all of humanity before being sealed away. He makes contact with Salem and empowers her to murder her father and create the Creatures of Grimm, promising her godhood if she frees him. Finaly freed, Void depowers Salem and absorbs all Grimm into himself, creating a Massive Black hole to devour whole Remnant.
- Horus
- Common Knowledge
- Star Wars: Some fans claim that, if Anakin was never trained by Jedi and fallen to the Dark Side, none of conflicts in the saga (clone wars, destruction of Jedi and rise of the Empire) would have happened. However, this ignores that Palpatine was already pulling Xanatos Gambit to become Chancellor when Anakin was discovered and non-movie works showing that Clone Wars were already in preparation before Palpatine became Chancellor. Most that Anakin has done for rise of the Empire was inform Jedi that Palpatine is a Sith (with Jedi already considering owertrowing him if he continues to amass power) and lead attack on the Jedi Temple (where he seems to mostly focus on younglins while Clones killed most of already trained Jedi). So for all horible things he did as Vader, claiming that Jedi or Republic woudn’t have fallen withous Anakin is incorect.
- Legend of Korra: Among most freguent critisisms of book 2 is that it intruduces God and Satan analogues in Raava and Vaatu. However while Vaatu’s personality does fit Satanic Archetype, their roles and functions are completely different from traditional depictions of God and Satan. Most notably they are egual in power and it is specifficaly stated that neither of them can be destroyed because they form cosmic balance. Raava is never even hinted to be creator of Avatar world as well, with her notably reffering to Lion Turtle as “Ancient One”. If anything they have more in common with Azura Mazda and Angra Mainyu, however unlike them there is no indication that their conflict will ever end.
- Poor Communication Kills: One of the main themes of the story. Neither the Iron Town's nor the forest's inhabitants are evil, but as they continue to fight without any attempt at dialogue, the body count continues to rise to a climax.
- They Just Don't Get It: The people of Iron Town do not understand that the well-being of the Forest Spirit is as important to them as it is to the forest itself. The inhabitants of the forest keep thinking that by killing Eboshi and the rest of Iron Town, they will save the forest, not realizing that if they succeed, other humans will come and do the same things that the current ones are doing now.
Max Keenan
- Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: He is not an evil man, but his total disregard for rules and laws that do not match his conscience has driven him to become a criminal. Even after he began to live by the rules, it is clear that he did so only because to do otherwise would destroy any chance of reconciliation with Bones.
- Artistic License: When Hodgins refuses to believe Avalon's alleged psychic abilities, Angela tries to get him to change his mind by reminding him that just because something hasn't been scientifically proven doesn't mean it isn't true. However, the examples she uses to make her point are incorrect or taken out of context.
- Neutrinos are faster than light: The theory was disproved in less than one year (and two years before the episode aired) when it was discovered that the results were halted by a measurement error.
- Surgeons didn't wash their hands even after the discovery of bacteria: Surgeons DID wash their hands BEFORE the discovery of bacteria. What would have been discovered later was that the cleaning methods used at the time were not enough to properly sterilize hands.
- The solar eclipse was considered magic before its mechanism was understood: It all depends on when and where! The solar eclipse's mechanism was already described in ancient Greece and, before that, this and many other natural phenomena were not considered magic simply because their mechanism wasn't understood. The attribution of a phenomenon to a not yet understood scientific cause was already done in ancient times and again in the Middle Ages.

- Cult Classic: The game is a rather obscure title in the franchise and isn't well known even amongst the 8-bit titles (which, on their own, tend to be obscure compared to the console entries). However, it has developed a bit of a cult following in the fanbase, who consider it to be one of the better non-Sonic-centric spin-off titles and an enjoyable Metroidvania. Nowadays, it isn't common to see fans request Sega to give the idea another chance via an fully enhanced remake or a proper sequel.
YMMV.The Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past:
- This is not the first time Link has been depicted with pink hair. A manga adaptation of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link from 1987 also depicts Link with pink hair on the covers
◊, and a year prior in 1986, some early artwork from a 1986 guide of the original NES game would also depict Link with pink hair
(and oddly enough, as a woman).
