Warcraft: Characters (WC 2 Elven Archer / Troll Axethrower)
- Healing Factor: When they are upgraded into berserkers, trolls gain a regeneration upgrade that makes them slowly restore HPs.
Jurassic World: Trivia
- Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: Barry's actor, Omar Cy, also voices his own character in the movie's European French dub (but not the Canadian French dub).
Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun: YMMV
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The scene where Captain Haddock yells at the Inca while pointing out his finger with Tintin trying to hold him back, all while the Inca gives a smug smile, has a close ressemblance to the "Woman yelling at cat" meme.
Pikmin: Characters (Pikmins in general)
- Chromatic Arrangement: The pikmins from the first game, are red, yellow and blue.
- Colourful Theme Naming: Pikmins from the first two games are named after their colors. Starting from the third game, new pikmins stop using this name pattern.

Dark Chick —> examples
- Fire Emblem: The franchise tends to have at least one Dark Chick per game.
- Fire Emblem Gaiden/Echoes has Nuibaba, a Vain Sorceress who is good at mind manipulation and is the game's lead female antagonist... in the remake.
- Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem features Clarisse, the Cold Sniper of the assassins and Eremiya's main female minion aside from Reese.
- Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War:
- Part 1 has Andrey, the effeminate archer of the villains who is also good at manipulation, according to the Oosawa manga.
- Part 2 has Hilda, a powerful Gold Digger and fire mage. She's also the lead female enemy, discounting of her daughter Ishtar.
- Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade has Brunnya, the most level headed member of the Wyvern Generals and their Token Female.
- Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade has two of these:
- Ursula is the main female member of the Four Fangs and the top female member of the Black Fangs, aside from Sonia.
- Sonia herself fills this role among the Morphs, since she's the team's main female member who manipulates the Black Fangs.
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones has the Magic Knight Selena, the female member of the Grado Generals. It overlaps with The Dragon since she's Vigarde's most loyal minion.
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance has Petrine, the female member of the Four Riders.
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn: this is the role of Senator Valtome, the most effeminate member of the Benion Senate.
- Fire Emblem: Awakening has Aversa, The Dragon of the Plegian Army and the game's resident Vain Sorceress ...until it's revealed that she was brainwashed the whole time.
- Fire Emblem Fates: Zola fills this role in the Nohrian army as Garon's Master of Disguise and Court Mage. Arete seems to be the Dark Chick of the Vallite army, but is in fact the Evil Genius. The actual Dark Chick is Mikoto, Arete's sister, who is a powerful White Magician Girl and a Combat Medic. She is also a Manipulative Bitch.
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes have mainly Kronya (the Perky Female Minion and chief assassin of the TWSITD), Monica (one of Edelgard's Co-Dragons who acts as her secretary of sorts) and Flayn (The Medic of The Church).
- Fire Emblem Engage has Marni, the Four Hounds' Perky Female Minion, although she is a Mighty Glacier, unlike a stereotypical Dark Chick.

The Simpsons S10E22 "They Saved Lisa's Brain"
- Everyone Has Standards: Before Frink announces his idea of banning "barbaric sports" to include almost any kind of sport, he has the town's approval with a decision to ban bullfighting and cockfighting, indicating that even Springfield's idiotic citizens disapprove of them.
The Simpsons S12E19 "I'm Goin' to Praiseland"
- Everyone Has Standards:
- Homer is willing to keep the truth about the gas leak a secret until he sees the orphans lighting candles near it.
- Not realizing that Homer and Flanders were pushing the orphans away from the gas leak to keep them from igniting it with candles, the people of Springfield assume the duo were assaulting the orphans and are disgusted with them.
- The Rich Texan learns the park had been tricking people into sniffing a gas leak offscreen and while he is an amoral businessman even he doesn't approve.
- Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: Flanders initially doesn't want to charge people money for what he thinks is a miracle from God until Marge points out he could use the money for a good cause. He still does not like the idea since he is aware sniffing gas fumes is dangerous, and abandons the idea when the orphans try to light candles near the gas leak.
The Simpsons S13 E5: "The Blunder Years"
- Not Me This Time: The sewer tunnel leads into Burn's office so everyone assumes he committed a murder. Surprisingly, Burns is completely innocent and had the corpse thrown in the tunnel to create a cover-up for its own sake.
Thanks @ Sunnydale High
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He is condescending toward Xander early on, but shows some concern for him when they are prisoners together, only to try and sacrifice Xander to delay being killed by the Monster of the Week. Later, he earnestly thanks the Scooby Gang for saving his life, but then threatens to have his dad sue them if they tell anyone that the monster went after him because he is a virgin.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Retired Badass Ted "Starman" Knight and Amnesiac Hero Justin "The Shining Knight" make five and nine appearances, respectively, out of the fifteen issues. Still, they tend to rank pretty high on the list of people and things that fans remember about this series.
- Fanfic Fuel: What is the full story behind the Aborted Arc of Mike wanting to use superhero tech to break a girl out of jail?
- He's Just Hiding: The Dropped a Bridge on Her death of Firebrand can feel dubious due to the offscreen nature of her fate and the popularity of the Comic Book Death trope in the DC world.

Hiashi Hyuga
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: Even though the Cloud started the incident by having its Head Ninja try to kidnap the three-year-old Hinata while she was asleep, Hiashi killing the kidnapper instead of simply knocking him out to use as a political prisoner allows the Cloud to deny all accusations of the kidnapping, and demand the body of Hiashi as compensation for the death of their Head Ninja as per the stipulations of the treaty. This plays a part in Hizashi Hyūga deciding to go and die in his brother's place as they were twins and Kumogakure could not tell the difference while protecting the Hyuga's head and their secrets.
Pokemon S 11 E 14 Lost Leader Strategy
- Heroic BSoD:
- Maylene has been in severe depression since her crushing loss to Paul, along with his following “The Reason You Suck” Speech. It got so bad that she has serious thoughts about quitting as the Veilstone Gym Leader, and her Lucario's harsh attempts to snap her out of the depression aren't doing much good either. Only when Dawn gently confides in Maylene her doubts concerning her career as a Coordinator, challenging her to a battle and watching Ash's battle with Reggie, does she start to believe in herself again.
- Dawn confides to Maylene that she is still in the middle of one herself due to her recent losing streak as a Coordinator, causing her to doubt that she has what it takes to make it as a Coordinator and worry if she's holding Ash from his dreams. This is likely the core reason for Dawn trying to help Maylene get out of her funk by requesting a battle with her: to make sure Ash gets his gym battle and, with luck, restore her confidence in the process as well.

For Life Will Kill You Anime And Manga:
- The Kindaichi Case Files: In the novel-exclusive original case "Thunder Festival Murder Case", this is how the Sympathetic Murderer Shigure Asaki died after the case is solved. One of the relatives of Shigure tells Hajime that she's revealed to have genetic frailness that will kill her anytime. Considering her murder pattern has her victims being covered by cicadas (remains), Shigure in fact has a "living a life like a cicada". This is shocking because the majority of culprit deaths are either from committing suicide or getting killed by someone.
For The Kindaichi Case Files Ijinkan Village Murder Case:
- Murder-Suicide: Near the end of the case, Kazamatsuri gives a faint smile before he committed suicide by shooting himself with a shotgun after killing his own son Rokusei (the culprit) to stop him from killing more people. It's heavily implied that he committed suicide to atone himself.

"No matter how bad the heroes can get or how bad the situation is, we're sure we can overcome it and get our happy endings..."Warcraft
- Title Drop: The intro of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness ends with the narrator saying "Now, united in arms with new allies against a common foe, mankind stands at the shores of destiny and awaits the coming of the tides of darkness"
What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?
- Hypocritical Humor: Kraglin and Taserface cannot tell the difference between T'Challa and Peter Quill because they think that all humans look the same. Despite Kraglin and Taserface themself being ridiculously human-looking aliens.
Pikmin: Characters (Red pikmins)
- Red Is Violent: They do more damages than most pikmin variants.
Titeuf
- Unrequited Love Switcheroo: Up until the 13th comic, Titeuf had a crush on Nadia, which she didn't reciprocated due to Titeuf being annoying at best and creepy and disgusting at worst. When Titeuf falls in love with Ramatou, Nadia ends up being jealous and misses Titeuf.
- Your Tomcat Is Pregnant: One strip has Titeuf coming to Hervé's house with a bunny so it could play with Hervé's female bunny. Despite Titeuf insisting that his own bunny is also a female, it's clearly mating with Hervé's. The final panel reveals that Hervé's bunny got a litter, much to Hervé's anger.

Does Ash's characterization in this show count as Character Rerailment or Character Derailment? Those in the former camp feel Ash's characterization in XY was an overcorrection to Best Wishes that turned Ash into a Flat Character. These fans applaud Alola for returning Ash's youthful energy without sacrificing his competence, citing Ash winning the Alola Leauge being the most progress he's made towards his dream since winning the Battle Frontier in Ruby & Sapphire. Detractors, however, feel Ash's characterization in Alola is just as bad, if not worse, than it was in Unova. This camp cites Ash is commonly treated as a Butt-Monkey and often shirks his responsibilities with very little onscreen time dedicated to training. This camp also disregards his Alola victory for various reasons, such as, the lack of pre-requisites or how two of Ash's Pokemon evolved without any input from him.

Thanks. @ The Punisher
- Ensemble Dark Horse:
- Many of the copycat Punisher heroes, especially the ones from the nineties, are decently remembered even though their total number of combined appearances is less than 10% of all the Punisher stories. Put it down to a combination of their cool costumes, developed personalities, how they are mostly Lighter and Softer than Frank himself (although by no means pacifistic) and several of them manage to leave the Knight Templar vigilante life behind them.
- Nigel "Outlaw" Higgins appears in less than thirty issues, but is pretty popular among the various Punisher copycats and stands out for being the only black and British member of that group and for being a competent Ascended Fanboy who eventually becomes The Atoner.
- Lynn Michaels/Lady Punisher was the first one of the bunch to get a wikipedia page by several years, and has more fan art than almost any other character in the franchise.
- Eddie "Payback" Dyson stands out for being the one who is most hostile to Punisher himself and for eventually forming a Battle Couple with Lynn.
- Jimmy "Hitman" Pierce has fewer appearences than any of the others besides Carlos, but still has a fair fanbase for having one of the most memorable costumes and widest array of combat skills of the bunch, and for being forced into the role in the first place. Getting an un-costumed In Name Only cameo in the MCU also got him a bit more attention.
